Now that Bell's doesn't distribute to VA (distributor issues), I'll be ISO. Love Black Note!

I never thought of Black Note being sweet or bitter. Definitely not bitter. It's always been a great, barrel-forward, well-balance BA Stout. I can imagine that this one will be a great addition!

    This is my answer too.

Black Note is a blended stout (Expedition Stout and Double Cream Stout) and Bell's gets the richness of Expedition and the smoothness of Double Cream into the resulting Black Note. I haven't seen anything to know when the coffee and vanilla enter into this formula.

Really looking forward to this. I missed out on Vanilla Black Note. Black Note has always been one of may favorites. As others have said, it is very well balanced. A complex mix of rich roasted malts, bourbon, flavors, with a light chocolately sweetness. It is probably the smoothest stout that I recall drinking.

Yes, please. It's times like these I love living in a state with almost no other beer nerds. More for me!

Black Note is an elite stout. I didn't care for the vanilla as much, but it was still delicious. I'll grab a few of these.

Unfortunately they'll be super rare in the metro area (again) Which is understandable...not like I live 2hrs from the source or anything. /s

It is elite, but it’s also elusive. I have never have seen it on a shelf within 50 miles of here. Winking Lizard bought rights to it a couple of years ago so at least I drank a few at the bar over the week.

I'll just be happy if I can get hold of regular Black Note. Phenomenal beer the one time I snagged a bottle.

Vanilla never made it out here. Not very hopeful about this one. The original Black Note is absolutely superb and it really doesn't need any additional things done to it. However, that does not mean than this and Vanilla aren't delicious beers either. We actually haven't seen the original in several years. When was the most recent release?

Me too. They haven’t made regular since 2017. Seems like they made a lot that time and it was relatively easy to get. Who knows when they will make it again.

There is a store in my town that has some killer beers and thankfully vast majority of clientele are all about spirits. Was able to enjoy 3 4-packs over the course of like 6 weeks before they sold out. Hoping for the same experience this year!

Bitter IMHO, I didn't care for it due to the bitterness. Perhaps this one will be better.

You should revisit it. That was back when you were not drinking any IPAs. I bet it'll taste different/better now.

Will be released on Black Friday with no distribution. On-line sales only with a number of different pick up days and times. More than likely limits will apply.

If true, that's hot garbage. World class beer and you give it a driving distance footprint. Why even release it?

Bad enough when I can't get beers made in my own state, now you can't get it unless you're in the neighborhood. What's next? The KBS Friends and Family Release?

That's a little harsh, IMO. Many breweries and many world class brews are released this way. I wouldn't even want to try and count the number of world class beers that I will never see because the distribution footprint is so small. Sure, I wish they made a ton of this and were going to distribute nationally but it does not seem to be the case.

It was fairly easy to get in Ohio in 2017 as I just stumbled upon it by accident, not in super large quantities but a couple bottles in a grocery store; but since then nothing. Too bad because I really liked it but it's not like I don't have alternatives.
