I was being a little funny. I didn't know you really meant to use that term. I've never even heard the term used as an insult, only as a joke. I just assumed it was a different acronym.

My new favorite insult is to call someone a FUPA fanboi though. I might throw a God Damn in front of it for added character.

 

I literally said they messed up. Was your e-receipt a confirmation email or just your credit card? Multiple people I've talked to got confirmation emails not just "e-receipts" and then got another email from Rev apologizing for the multiple confirmations. I think them offering you the early pre-sale for the next round was good customer service that is in line with what we've all come to expect. What would be your optimal outcome from this? If you say you supported Rev as much as you insinuate I'd have expected you to be on the pre-order list.

 

You have my permission to use it at your leisure, I simply ask for 15% of all revenue generated from merchandise sales using said slogan.

 

I am not on the pre order list as I never use my Rev points, which in hindsight I should. I haven't missed a Deep Woods release since the first one.

I received an email receipt with a confirmation number and a pickup window confirmation. That went through, and five minutes after it went through, they say 125 four packs remain. Yet I'm told after the fact, I don't have a legitimate purchase.

If someone is unable to see the unfairness in that, it's useless even having this conversation with them. My proposed resolution would be to simply honor the purchase confirmation I received before the inventory was sold out. If Goose did this to me, I'd get it and move on, I just expected a better response from Rev, however apparently therein lies the issue.

As the famous saying goes, a man's only as good as his e-receipt.

 

That's a bummer things went like they did. If you strike out at Binny's, I'll send you a can. If you haven't missed a Deep Woods releases and have been giving them your, and have a Rev Rewards account you should be close to getting on (or already on) the pre-sale list. How many points do you have?

 

That's very nice of you. I know I am going to get some, I just feel like I was wronged a little bit, that's all, but thank you, I appreciate that nice gesture on your part.

I think I only have around 150 points or so, if I wasn't an idiot and had actually used my number in the past, I have to imagine I would be well over 500.

I also live very close to the pub and do love Rev, but I agree that it's unfortunate to have an email and confirmation #, only to be told that they won't honor it. They clearly oversold and can't give you what they don't have. In retrospect they should really have cut off all sales earlier in that shitshow, until they figured out an alternative, and clearly there was some miscommunication when they tweeted about the remaining 4-packs. Hopefully they learn from that.

That said, I'm assuming they're giving you a refund and offering an early pass at the next release is a decent consolation prize in my opinion. Maybe you could try asking for a special crowler of Thundertaker since it's now on draft?

Nobody said you didn't have a valid concern. However, they can't sell you beer they do not have. They responded and provided a pre-link to the next release.

The good news is knowing the folks at Revolution, they will work on that not occurring in the future, and the fact this beer is available right now on tap, and will be tomorrow at Binny's.

 

Too prideful to come crawling back this soon. I'll be back no doubt, but we need a break. I'm going to take a drive, smoke a joint, listen to some Creed, and figure out how I can move past this.
