Kegs will drop October 15th with package shortly after. All the offerings seem price competitive, but I dunno how they will do once things normalize. However, this is very exciting as it's been years since my last Zombie Dust, happy to hop on the hype train.

As with other 'imports,' freshness will be the issue here. Despite being much better and cheaper than all but the very best locally made IPAs, Pseudo Sue, Two Hearted, and Jai Alai aren't moving fast enough to stay fresh at my local stores. It makes for a dim likelihood that Zombie Dust will either, once the initial flurry passes.

I completely agree, but that being said none of those are New England IPAs...except maybe Pseudo Sue.

New England IPAs sell the best. Although Toppling Goliath certainly has its fair share of New England IPAs on our shelves as well...I don't believe those move well either.

Excited. But hopefully I'm more impressed than I was when Bells moved into MA. What a let down their beers have been for me, for the most part.

Never had Zombie Dust but I have hopeful yet probably unrealistic visions that it drinks like a small Heady Topper.

Zombie Dust is still great, and would definitely be a staple in my fridge if it becomes a shelf beer here.

If I remember it’s somewhat reminiscent of fort point and Lagunitas Born Yesterday.

Took the words right out of my mouth! Hopefully the recipe still has that bitter kick Fort Point lost.

I was lucky enough to try it while in Chicago a couple of years ago, and I thought it was great! Hope it still tastes the same, as I will definitely buy it from time to time.

What about Lager of the Lakes?

With the exception of the one year one of the batches of Born Yesterday was turbid and juicy, this beers drinks more like a West Coast/New England IPA hybrid. And Fort Point is straight up a New England Pale Ale.

I had Zombie Dust years ago so I don't remember much, but I don't recall anyone saying it was like a New England IPA/pale ale.

Zombie Dust has varied the handful of times I've had it, and none have been all that recent. I would have said similar to early Fort Point but a little maltier. If it's still anything like that now, all over it as an instant top option in stores around here.

It has been a minute but I really enjoyed Alpha King and ZD last time I visited my brother in Chicago. I hope they bring a few of their barrel aged stouts to share at some marketing events. If recall correctly, TG did. I didn't get a chance to try any of them, but I will certainly be on the look out to get a sample of handjee. A guy can hope right!?

Zombie dust is a very well-made beer that tastes exactly how it’s supposed to taste. It’s not supposed to be a New England IPA. It is a well-crafted beer. Would take a six pack of zombie dust over $18 4 pack of inconsistent turd New England IPA beer that is filling shelf space at Local package stores. I look forward to the next time in Massachusetts picking up a sixpack.

Just drank a can of Alpha King that’s been in my fridge for 3 months and was a month old when I bought it. It was phenomenal honestly. Yes the hops had fallen off a bit but there was no blatant signs of oxidation at all. A very well constructed beer for sure.

They sell a lot of beers that were designed 8-10 years ago but they are very well made. Lots more caramel malt but these guys were some of the first to feature newer more exotic hops. Very different than what’s being consumed in New England at the moment but still incredibly well made beer. Nice to have a little nostalgia every now and again. I’ll buy Alpha King, Gumballhead, Zombie Dust whenever I see them, even if they’re not overly fresh.

It's been almost 10 years since I've had Zombie Dust. I echo the sentiments of everyone though... it's going to be tough to stay fresh with the amount of competition on the shelves. Looking forward to trying it again so I can say I'll buy at least one pack!

I was in Chicago and had a Gumball Head that was old and lousy. Then I had an Alpha King that was old and lousy. If Chicagoland can’t keep this beers fresh then how can I assume New England will?
