So I have a nice story to share with you all today. Most people who know me, know I am obsessed with music. Right as I was getting out of high school I was getting pretty big into Dream Theater. Got an SG off the internet. Got a 7 string a few years later. Back in the days before there was any pay as you go entertainment, there was the hard copy. Wasn't real big into cassettes, but right around the turn of the century I was getting into buying albums. I did have a lot of Weird Al, and I think Astro lounge was my first ever bought CD. Anyways, back to all the metal, its been going for a while. I was always into classic rock and prog like Rush when I was growing up so it kind of led to itself in the end I guess  I used to have a big 100 disc capacity booklet, I left it on my dads car at one point, so presumably it's been decided it was lost in the field somewhere. It had a lot of Opeth, Gojira, and BTBAM in there as well. There was also visor disc holder that was left. I just found this in my parent's basement. Here are the albums that were inside:

Dream Theater - Scenes From a Memory and Images and Words
    Symphony X - The Odyssey
    Nile - Ithyphallic
    Meshuggah - Catch 33
I was pretty stoked to find these, SFAM definitely one of my favorite albums. I've since gone to Spotify, and next they want to do FLAC streaming, so I'll have to check that out. Have a good day everyone!

Got a 6 pack of Columbus IPA and a couple others at the gas station up the street at 1130PM. Pretty sure they changed the recipe for this one as well as other breweries have been. I remember it being mostly Simcoe and Centennial, and probably Columbus. Now it’s Simcoe, Citra, Mosaic, Centennial. It tastes fantastic and pretty close to what I remember of it! Certainly has been 2 years at least.

    Goooooood morning advocates!

A new beer this Sunday morning, from the UK, an IPA, excellent. Nicely bitter and refreshing. Also, this label kicks asses.

@sportscrazed2 just this week asked for me to post what a French supermarket looked like; beer wise. I promised to share a photo so here we go:

Nice little mix of American, Belgian, British, French and German brews... it’s the ideal sight and always bring me a smile when some new beers are released.

Natty Daddy Lemonade. This is really nice. Hazy pour, no lacing. Aromas and flavors of big lemons, juice, pulp, white sugar syrup; light berries, grain, herbal/grassy hops. A bit of booze in the aromas. Light herbal/grassy bitterness and alcohol spiciness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation/body; some syrups and light sticky hops. Light-moderate bitter/spicy dryness; no cloying sweetness. Mild increasing warmth of 8%. Pretty refreshing. Pretty much what was expected when I purchased it after having some of the Natty Rush ones before. Will have to run through those eventually too. 3.85

Man. Forget about these Orange Juice “Beer” called Hazy, NEIPA or whatever. I like my IPA bitter.

Just joking too, there are far and few here and I really enjoy one when I find one.

Have to do an online seminar for work, so figured I’d sit in the basement, get it done on the laptop, and have a breakfast beverage at the same time.
    Happy Sunday, all!

Happy Sunday, BAs! I don’t often go to Church...unless it’s double dry hopped

Seriously though, as someone who has ticked 350+ Tired Hands beers, I assert that this is their best ipa. The ddh version is just a marvel. Kind of like how ddh Ghost in the Machine propels that beer to another level.

I hope many of you get to try this before they inevitably ruin it by upping the batch size. It’s wonderful as it is now.

Could be mistaken, but it looks like they sell everything as singles? That’s the opposite of every grocery store here. I’d buy a lot more beer at grocery stores if mine looked like that!

Most of them and especially American breweries like SN, Brooklyn and Goose island are indeed being sold as single beers. All about 2€.

The reason is that a sixer would be well above 10€, and no matter how good these beers are, people are more likely buying super cheap Belgian ale like Leffe and Affligem for about 4,50€ a sixer.

Plus it’s a “cave à bières” as they call it, hence translate to beer cellar so they thought distribution as single was the way to go.
