Was it an open six pack? That one is prone to skunking due to the green bottle.

15 pack would be good for tailgating...oh wait.

Picked up a mixed sixer of Octoberfest's today, and boy, this Bitburger fest beer is delicious. A little higher abv at 6.2 than I was expecting, but really tasty. Might have to get more! Prost!

Just cracked a can of 2020 Avery The Kaiser, an imperial Oktoberfest clocking in at 8% ABV. Was happy to see this priced at $14 for a sixer of 12 oz cans, seems like a solid deal. Definitely has more perfumey ethanol than a lot of Ofests, but the richness of the malt is solid and it's still crisp and lightly floral. Has a soft and surprisingly sessionable feel. I haven't had this in almost six or so years, and last time was from a bomber that was probably $14 for 22 ounces :stuck_out_tongue: Anyone else pick it up?

It was a single bottle so that is a possibility.

Just picked up some Von Trapp OF for this weekend. Saturday is supposed to be a perfect day for sitting outside and drinking some lagers!
    Prost!

Nice, I just cracked my first VT Oktoberfest tonight. It was a hoppier than I expected, which dominated the malty goodness at the finish. I do appreciate the price.

Had one tonight. Much better. Maybe it was a tad warm or something, but the first bottle it finished almost like a Becks. Still fine but not wow. But tonight's was very good.

Liars Bench Oktoberfest is delicious. They also released a Festbier w/ clover honey but I wasn’t able to try that one on draft.

Stopped by Liar’s Bench for the 1st time yesterday. Ofest was on the malty/caramelly side but pretty good. IPA was meh.

Strange vibe on the patio, felt like I was in someone’s back yard. Staff were friendly though.

Glad you got to visit. None of their IPA’s have really wowed me but I’m into the majority of their lagers and Belgians. Also, not sure if you got to try Love Duck Pale Ale, but it’s what I imagine Sierra Nevada Pale tasting like from the brite tank. Classic west coast, bitter and dry.

Did you get to try any of their food? I just had the bologna muffaletta last week and it blew my mind.

I'd already eaten, but I saw others with food that looked good.

I'll search that one out next time.

second this. The ABV is deceptive. I didn’t realize it was 6+%. Definitely doesn’t drink like it.
