Share Your Beer Dreams

I’ve had craft beer drinking in dreams several times before. Never tastes good in my dreams for some reason, very strange huh?

 

Younger?

I often have a dream that I have a Cantillon magnum hanging between my legs. Next thing I know I'm butt naked in times square and it's actually one of those 8oz Rogue bottles, and everyone is pointing and laughing.

What it means? I couldn't even begin to guess.

 

I must be weird. I dream about Scotch.

 

I have pre-history-like dreams of an elixir that seems like beer that is the core and basis of the tribe and all rituals.

 

Perzactly.

 

My dreams tend to involve Halle Berry and Jessica Alba. Beer? Not so much.

 

Sounds like a billion dollar **** idea.

Wow, so weird this thread pops up since I've been having trouble sleeping lately but, when I have been asleep, have been having really weird dreams and just a few hours ago had a beer-related one.

Was in some unfamiliar city trying to drive but getting lost, confused and disoriented. Ended up at a small brewery. What was really strange was I could smell the smells of the mash and hop boil like you usually can in a brewery of that size, but I rarely have any olfactory experiences in my dreams. What I assume was the head brewer or owner sat beside me at the bar as I tasted their beers. He knew of my tasting experience and knowledge somehow and was basically telling me he'd take whatever advice I would give. The only beer I have clear memory of tasting was a stout with lactose which tasted very good. Only he says "So that was initially a dark sour that didn't come out right so we dumped a bunch of lactose in it and it completely transformed the flavor profile." There were a few other parts of the dream but that was the only beer-related portion

That's usually my experience too. I also have the "takes random drug but little to nothing happens" Scenario

 

I don't dream about beer, and I wouldn't want to waste one of my dreams on it.

 

ps-I think you forgot Woody or Woodies!

 

Just this morning I had a dream Meshuggah was going to play a show in my parents’ back yard. There were tons of people there. One of my old co worker rolls up wearing what looks like a Cantillon apron from the 50s, and he’s got a pickup with the bed full of cases of rare Kolsch you can’t find in the states. All the people there were asking why he didn’t bring water bottles for everyone. He just laughed in their faces nonstop while pounding beers. Needless to say, Fall Out Boy ended up opening for Meshuggah before I woke up.

 

I can't recall any beer dreams although I have had tons of dreams about a plant that looks and can smell a lot like hops. I think a lot of our dreams are what we are passionate about. I love craft beer but I'm not truly passionate about it. For instance I wouldn't fly from GA to CA to get a bottle of PtY even if I was guaranteed to get it.

If I were the type who were into home brewing and spent much more of my free time around beer I bet I would start dreaming about that as well.

 

I have a dream…

That one day (soon?) Juicy/Hazy beers will no longer be dominating the craft beer bars’ tap handles and beer retailers’ shelves. That other beer styles will be readily available for purchase.
