Oh wow, Catamount Amber. Haven't thought of that brewery or beer in well...decades!
I remember sloshing some of those down while working at Middlebury College as a teenager (long story, don't ask questions). Good times. R.I.P. Catamount.

 

Birthday beer for me today, and since there is still a tropical storm dumping tons of rain on Houston, I'm stuck inside (day three of the storm). Just means I'm going to be spinning some of my favorite albums with some beer at home

Harviestoun Old Engine Oil is always excellent. One of my favorite Porters, and favorite Scottish brewers.

Adventures In Time Surfing DIPA from Flying Monkeys Craft Brewery in Barrie (the snow belt) Ontario. 8.2%. Given the abundance of IPA’s/DIPA’s available (and that many of us drink), I think it’s possible to get saturated, so a beer only truly stands out if it’s exceptionally bad or exceptionally good. This beer is neither. It’s a very solid DIPA that blends into the tapestry of the many other very solid DIPA’s I’ve consumed over the last few months. I’ll be taking a relative break from these beers over the next few months, so my perspective will likely be refreshed come next spring. Cheers.
