I was able to get 2, but was just lucky. I was looking for their social media post, didn’t see any and just clicked on the link to the website.

Didn’t really see where they mention a time. Just saw evening of so I assumed 7pm. Bitched on here real quick for not seeing it then went back to their store and ta-da. Almost slept on this one. Happy to get my 2!

I got 2, but barely. I kept checking FB and IG, but not the IG story. I just randomly checked Riverlands' website and saw that it was up. Looks like it sold out in like a half hour, and I was just in before that.

Dammit, I didn't think people reallu knew about riverlands stouts yet. We can't have anything nice

As we saw with BA Coco Van from Hubbard’s Cave, there may not be many stout secrets left

What kills me is that the acid series went from distro to at-brewery only. The Acid Prism series were some of my favorite fruited sours in the city.

remember, Orin is not a stout. You do not want Orin. It is infected, gross, and only comes in a cherry cola Tahitian iced Darjeeling pumpkin spice variant with 13 lbs of second use ginger per can.

Don't worry, we're still going to distro shelf stable fruited sours. We just wanted to do more with them than try and emulate our Rainbow series without the unfermented fruit. We've got a few fun ideas we're looking forward to trying

BA Komoho is up there for my favorite beer of the year. Coconut forward as advertised while still getting all the other adjuncts. Solid barrel too. Riverlands with another home run.

I'm relatively new to Riverlands. Are they still a sleeper in the Chicagoland area. I've yet to have something from them I haven't really enjoyed. Riverside Blues is excellent.

Yeah I think sleeper status is intact outside of the BA beers. The quantity of those is such that you have to be on it whenever or however they’re released.

I just saw the one get released. What are their BA beers comparable/similar to? Anyway to get them from the brewery with some notice or is just lottery/fast clicking?

Last Black Friday was BA First Catch of the Day. Line up deal and it was somewhat comparable to your BA Bean Spirit/CBS types. Next one was Riverlands 1 which was a Weller BA stout. Literally the last line up release before the lockdown. Most recently was BA Kamoho which was online only and sold out within 30 minutes. I only had it cold so I didn’t rate it but it’s a very good BA coconut stout. So the next one this fall will probably be online/clicking as you said.

I second this. It’s awesome. Although it’s the rare big stout that’s actually better before it warms up. The chocolate really pops when it’s cold.
