I was up all night working on year end budgets. Having a beer and hitting the sack. This Tank 7 from Boulevard is hitting the spot. I forget how good some of the “classics” are. I may have a second. Enjoy your day everyone!

 

Have a good Saturday. Slept until about 930 PM and didn’t eat all day, had some roasted chicken later on. Bit of a bummer night, but I started checking out meetme and getting some hookups a bit there. We’ll see how that pans out . My best girl friend from High School wanted to hang out today I think, so I will probably head over there later. She lives 5 minutes up the road from my dad’s house.

Sixpoint Bengali. So apparently they redid the beer recipe. Alright, free review lol, I lost one somewhere in time this month. This was fantastic. Lasting rocky head retention/thick foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big mandarin orange, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, honeydew melon, berries, wood, peppercorn, pine, biscuit, toast, and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced creamy/bready malts, sticky hops, and resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing resin dryness, no hop astringency. Very smooth, minimal warming 6.6%. Fantastic Mandarina Bavaria and Amarillo profile. Very vibrant, dank, earthy, and fairly juicy hops; with a nice sized bready malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp resin dryness. Loved it! Would buy again. 4.23

I made my choice.

 

Good morning, BAs! Starting light on this rainy Philly morning with a 10 day old pale ale, Intronaut...a collab between Tired Hands and Cellarmaker.

This does not taste like anything Tired Hands usually makes. It looks hazy enough, but it tastes earthy, herbal, and quite aggressively bitter. Very little citrus or tropical character. Riwaka is the first listed hop so that might be part of it, paired with the Cellarmaker influence. I’m quite enjoying its uniqueness, especially at such a low abv (5%).

 

Titletown Brewing is near my house. When @JamFuel posted that beer previously, I immediately called there to see if they had that beer available. No one there heard about that beer. They probably figured that American football-themed beers would be more successful in Denmark than in Green Bay, WI, USA, so there is no need for Titletown Brewing to brew it also.

Mad Scintist (Budapest, Hungary) - NEW YORK MOCACCINO - Milk Stout (6.8%)

Expired 08/08/2020.
It has been perfectly maintained.
On the nose coffee, vanilla and chocolate.
Impenetrable black color, creamy and soft foam that does not last long.
In the mouth, beer with a light and drinkable body. Hints of coffee and cocoa above all, before a soft and creamy finish (in my opinion) given by the use of lactose as an ingredient that makes this beer soft and creamy.
In addition to coffee (own espresso, not roasted) and cocoa, a sensation of a hint of vanilla on the finish.
Good beer. Soft. Modern reinterpretation. Absolutely not worsened over time despite belonging to a style that does not lend itself to great aging.
