    I'm currently enjoying a bottle of Robinson's "Old Tom," courtesy of a sample provided by a salesman( Robinson's has just been introduced to the Atlanta market ). This is an outstanding example of an Old Ale, a style that the Brits still command, without the alcohol harshness that mars many American efforts( although I love North Coast's Old Stock Ale ! ).

    Cleaning the old stuff out of the fridge, it's Hop Slam right now. (I have no idea how it lasted this long, I usually blow through the case pretty fast every year.). I'm really surprised how well it held up, it's boozier, and still has some good bitterness.
