If I remember when I use to look forward to wet hop season it was always Born Yesterday and Surly Wet.

I've enjoyed Surly Wet but its distro is hit or miss here unfortunately. . For a dependable release, I'd say Born Yesterday.. Wish wet hop beers were better represented here.

Above are great. I also very much enjoy Broo Doo and Founders Harvest.

That was the other one. Founders Harvest. The only other ones I know I had were CBC Yakima Fresh and Hop Stalker from Fat Heads. Doesn’t Bells do one?

Yes Sideyard (hops from their own hop garden). Sadly, it's not distro'd here.

Here? Lagunitas Born Yesterday ... although I kind of want to try Hopewell's new wet hop IPA - Harvest Pale Ale

Oh, Revolution had a excellent one, Farm to Fist. But last year they went and turned it hazy and it didn’t do anything for me. I do think they improved in the hazy department this year, so if they do it again, maybe I’ll enjoy it more. But the original was fantastic.

Haven't tried it but I think Off Color's Aqua Predator qualifies?

What is a wet hop beer..is it like our Fresh Hop beers here in PNW? When breweries race to get the freshest hops harvested and brew?
Its half way through Fresh Hop season now..so fresh so delicious..best to drink within 48 hours of brewing

Apparently my original comment was incorrect, just found this:

Wet Hops are un-dried hops, picked and shipped from the growing fields within 24 hours. Fresh Hops are the freshest dried hops to come from the fields, typically within seven days of harvest.”

I am a sucker for the harvest season. Whether it’s asparagus in the spring, strawberries in July, blueberries in August, or apples in the fall... beer is no different. Here in Michigan (with the emergence of locally grown hops) I’m always excited for the season.

So I’d like to dedicate this thread to the harvest of hops - had Shorts Heaven Scent and the traditional Founders Harvest Ale so far (which is great but still believe they still use PNW hops) and loving it!!!

What wet hop beers are you all enjoying this season??

Hopewell Harvest Ale is one of the best beers I've had this year.

I’m currently on my third 6 pack of Broo Doo. While i my like it slightly less than last years batch, it’s excellent as usual. I have yet to see any wet/fresh hops at my Binny’s. But I’ll keep an eye out for Hopewell’s.

    I really miss Surly Wet.
