Half Acre (2020)

Did anyone pick up 2020 Orin ? How is it?

 

It’s excellent. There’s something about imperial brown and old ales that can really pick up and extract barrel character during aging. And this beer is all barrel character. This thing has wonderful chocolate and sweet caramel, vanilla notes. It has this warm, creamy and soft feel. Does NOT drink like a 12.3% abv. Reminds a bit of a well done barleywine, partly maybe because of appearance. I grabbed only one 2pack but I think I might grab a few more.

Almost $9 cheaper for a case at Binnys than at the brewery, interesting.

 

Orin should hit almost everywhere except my fridge.

 

Excited to try this year. My note on 2019 Orin: Phenomenal. Caramel & vanilla. Perfect level of booziness. Creamy. Not to mention the change in format & drop in cost per oz.

LOL I dont think I've drank a whole case of Orin in my entire life. I'll grab a 2 pk and split it with a co-worker and if I really like it try to grab another unless @flat_lander cleans them all out.

There's a very low chance of that. Between the brutal pace of Side Project releases, Deep Woods season, BCBS coming, and I'm sure Triptych has something up their sleeves...such long sleeves to cover up their small hands that smell like cabbage... I'm getting off topic here. I guess what I'm saying is that my kids are going to junior college and will probably have to pay their own way.

 

There's some specialty Orin stuff available in howlers for curbside.
