    I am having a good day as far as fruited sours go. 11.5% on this guy. Boozy peach yumminess. Not sure what hops are in this but I got huge coconut notes with the peach. Super interesting beer.

    Friend brought me this one from Throwback Brewery (based in NH). Interesting beer. Labeled as a NEIPA, but tracks a little more West Coast. I was pleasantly surprised by this. Would definitely drink again.

    Had a Founders Imperial the other night. Never fails to bring a smile to my face. No BS indeed. Pure stout greatness. Luscious by Alchemist gives it a run for its money, though. I can't decide which I like more

    Deep reddish-purple body topped with a red tinged head, thick and fluffy; patchy strands of foam interlace between thick rings of foam along the glass. Strong aroma filled with notes of blackberries and raspberries; jammy. Initial flat sweetness; fresh blackberries; finishes with an excellent note of sourness, paradoxically bold yet subtle. Heavy mouthfeel; soft and spongy; mild acidity; juicy.

    I expected an over-the-top fruitiness and acidity with this beer, but I was proven wrong. The beer brings marvelous blends of depth, character, and complexity to the palate. It has an admirable restraint to things yet lacks nothing when it comes to satisfying flavor and mouthfeel. An outstanding fruited sour!

    Sounds great....especially the "admirable restraint" part. For my tastes, too many beers in this style go over the top with one or more elements, taking away from my overall enjoyment.

    I think the addition of marshmallows and lactose helped, especially with the mouthfeel, but, yes, the blackberry and black currant taste didn't go over the top. It all came together nicely.
