An excellent beer and brewery in Idaho Springs. Some porch time since the smoke and ash have significantly subsided from earlier.

 

Just to clarify, they're shipping direct to consumers in PA. We still don't have it on shelves here.

 

Let's keep it a stout night. Berkshire Brewing Company Boozemobile Imperial Stout aged in Weller Bourbon Barrels.

 

Just finished Saison Dupont

Now drinking Amongst Friends

 

This is pretty sweet when you first pop it open and take a sip, but the hops REALLY open up as it warms up a bit, and the citrus and resiny pine truly shine. Really digging this on a damp, chilly evening in Northern Indiana.

 

First beer in a few days and it's tasting awfully good! Cheers!

A session IPA brewed by Ardent. As session beers go, not too bad but I will probably not buy again anytime soon.

Reward after a 5-mile run in Prospect Park. Three’s had 18-packs of these pint cans at a good price, so I had to hit it up.

 

As soon as I loosened the cage on this, the cork went flying. It scared the hell out of my cats.

 

It's 55 out so I guess that means it's stout season

 

Central Waters Bourbon Barrel Pecan Kringle Imperial Pastry Stout, 12.3% ABV. This is truly a pastry stout since it is meant to taste like the reportedly popular Wisconsin pastry called Kringle. Weird thing is I grew up there, and never heard of Kringles until I had this beer. Maybe I had them but didn't know their name (like in college). A really incredible beer.

 

I just keep reaching for this beer. Power Tools WCIPA by Industrial Arts. Cheers to all!

#2, continuing the Bell’s theme tonight, this remains the best “production” stout (“production” = “regularly available at your local”) in the Midwest, IMHO. Traveshamockery good, again IMHO.

Its October, so its time to drink these.

 

The wife thought it would be a great idea to pour a second shot, i guess you can figure out which one of us isn't working the next 3 days.....
