It’s really good. But I’m more likely to drive to the city for a case of Dovetail Pilsner than 32 ounces of a BA stout

Very much enjoying my first can of Thundertaker tonight. I agree with whoever compared it to a DT, SJ, Ryeway cuvée, and also think it’s the closest thing I’ve had to OG, “3rd use” BCBBW.

Cellar Cuvée 11 is by far the closest thing I have had (a Jackie Os beer), although Iron Furnace (another JOs beer) has a similar taste profile, although not the same.

I haven’t tried Thundertaker yet, just chiming in.

October 23rd needs to get here soon. I’m officially on my 2nd pack of Thundertaker already.

Yeah - way too easy to drink - very worthy.
For my own budgeting, I am grateful they spread out the releases. I'll be $1k deep into 2020-21 Deep Wood including the summer releases, though I do spread some around to the neighbors.
Reaffirming what others have said (and burning it into my brain), I'll be passing on BCBS for the first time in 10 years (save 1-2 regular). I will not judge how anyone else spends their $$, but I have simply come to prefer the beers from Rev, besides the 12oz format and the price. Cheers!

That's a great point, Vinny. It's going to be really hard to pass on all BCBS, at least for me. Seeing as how they have become easier to get for the most part, I am definitely not looking to set aside a lot of time for BCBS moving forward.

Rev on the other hand? It's going to be another year where it's extremely easy to give them my money. They just continue to do things right (and I anticipate that they'll have the online pre-order situation figured out quickly). And that's not to mention how great it has been to "thin" the cellar a bit by drinking '18 and '19 Deep Woods. Always good.

Yeah, I like the new Rev labels they are rolling out. Never had Red Skull. Is it similar to GL Nosferatu? Rev said it's hitting distro so will look to pick it up.

It’s been quite a few years since I’ve had Nosferatu, so I can’t go give a good comparison. I will say it is a hoppy red ale (brewed with citra), so that’s why I like it. And if you ever get the chance to try it on cask, it’s glorious (if cask is your bag).

Next up at the brewpub (still "on deck", not pouring yet it seems):

    A Midwinter Night’s Jacket - 13.5%

Aged 12 months in High West A Midwinter Night’s Dram ex-Port barrels, this sweet component Barleywine has a supple cherry/craisin nose and a dry, spicy finish of French oak tannin and Rye Whiskey.

Fuck. Me. Up. These one off barley/ryewines just absolutely get me going. Was this available last year during one of the releases? I don't remember.
On another note can recommend Thundertaker with a side of steak. 10/10
