Saisons are still in season for me. Drinking this one right now, Avec Les Bons Voeux from Brasserie Dupont. 9.5% abv, a bit strong and warming with nice saison flavors, fruity esters, phenolic spice, rich caramelized malts, and herbal earthy floral hop notes. Cheers everyone! :beers:

Popped Forest/Maine from Oxbow. It didn’t disappoint. Should have bought more of it.

When I went up a few months back and loaded up on bottles, this was the one that stood out to me.

@mrmattosgood What's the vintage on that KF Field beer??? Their brett + bugs are so durable!

Speaking of which... nice little collab right here. Less acid than Tiny House, but a really great "hop and coriander chimichurri" thing going on.

Not sure on the Kent Farm. I’m convinced it was a little older (I know for a fact they haven’t been bringing much beer, if any, to this area since covid hit). I really like their stuff and wish we saw more of it. Cool spot too. I did them and Suarez on the same day once and it was expensive but glorious.

That's a super road trip! I've found it almost impossible to hit that third spot and not go insane unless its a local bottle shop/food.

The rotation of OEC (open during the week!), KF, Fox farm, 12%, and Suarez is an amazing day any way you do it. I always try to stop @thecorner off of 202 and get a burger, hot tip.

Silver Branch Gnomenclature. It's decent. I like their approach of Ardennes + (whatever the other yeast they use is) on their saisons. This one is a bit off the mark, just because of the melon flavor.

Some cellar picking brought me old Allagash - Dawnlander amber saison ale from 03/08/17

Lot of apple, pear, banana esters, tart apricot, citrus, caramelized biscuity malts, mild roasty smoke, hint of spice, and floral earthy hops, real interesting and nice. Cheers all!

Well nothing to contribute still, but I acquired a bottle of La Vermontoise this last week, and just today got myself some bottles of Robert and Jeannamie from Russian River so I'll be sharing some love soon enough!

I had La Vermontoise last night. It's definitely not the most flashy farmhouse ale, but I really think it's something special.

Ya I've had it a couple times and I'd love to try it fresher, seems like the funkier, yeastier flavors have taken over. Its still very pleasant, and I think stands out in an American market that leans heavily toward overly bright, overly acidic (in my opinion) examples.

Stillwell Brewing Rieslinger- BA Saison aged on Riesling skins. Super unique tropical aroma, light acidity, light funk. They make incredible and delicate mixed ferm saison out of Halifax, NS. Definitely worth seeking out.

    Cheers!

Sure is. I’m a sucker for a nice rocky, frothy head like that.

    Padres? What the hell?

I read this quickly and read it as, “Their brett + bugs are so adorable!”

Good to hear, picked some up myself. By “it works” do you mean it’s awesome?

Plus it has that Hill Farmstead stink on it...which is a good thing.

I completely forgot about this beer. I do remember loving it though. Lightly smoked right?

I wasn’t sure what to expect from Moselle. I knew it would be interesting even if I didn’t like it. I like it. A lot. Drank two of them today. Sorry about the lack of description. Busy, tiring week. I believe you will enjoy it.
