Have a good Monday. Was over my sister's house until 2 AM. We watched The Big Lebowski and "The Jesus" spin off movie. The spinoff wasn't bad. Pretty funny, but the ending made no sense. Also had dinner after not eating all day around 11. I had fried shrimp and loaded nachos that my BIL brought home, that was a wrong cooked order where he works. I have a gigabit internet install at 2PM, but I am going to stay up again. Will start this book from the beginning. I lost my place in the story in my mind, so might as well.

Well seeing as I watched the movie last night, this is fitting. Wow, tons of coconut and fudge/dulce de Leche. Mild cinnamon. Perfect silky barrel integration. Minimal booze. Top tier!

    Cheers

Hard to pick a favorite from this album, but the breakdown at 2:55 gives me goosebumps every time.

    Good morning advocates.

Just ran errands and luckily the beer was already cold, I’m in a gregarious mood today. Even before I started sipping on La Goudale:

It’s still only amateur stuff but I’m working better I believe on the « shadows »...

Listening to The Weeknd, seriously these days you can’t go to a mall or some little shop or store in town without having his music on, he’s okay. Canadian fella. I can at least pretend to enjoy music “for young people”...

Good day BAS! A cool rainy morning here in NW PA with a few stars breaking through the clouds - Orion was out when I got the paper awhile ago. Today's Breakfast Beer isn't new, but is both good and always welcome:

My local distributor started carrying fairly fresh Old Nation back in June, although this ninja can from @foundersasap is certainly welcome.

Isn’t it the best when you find a new brewery you fall in love with? For 2020 that brewery is moonraker for me, everything I have had by them has been wonderful

@Shanex an artist im not but I understand the mechanics of it. Hands are a difficult task to draw and shadowing can be brutal. Thats a great drawing and an excellent attempt at getting the shadow down pat.
I see artists try to play it off like there just isn't supposed to be any shadow in the scene to bypass not being able to do it

Beautiful coolish overcast misty morning...great for dog walking. Chores underway, but I’m taking my coffee break - FBS:

Poured at 56° straight out of the wine chiller, per my Thermapen. Bottled 7-24-20. I’m down to my last half dozen or so bottles...I’ll try to do a beer run tomorrow to stock up before my beercation commences Friday with the RV...more on the trip to come. Cheers and have a marvelous Monday y’all!

Thanks! It just need regular practice, and it’ll get better by the day (by the week actually whenever I’m up for another sketch anyway). I’m still not super happy and find many flaws with my stuff but you learn from your minor mistakes and that’s fair. Hands are very difficult, I found a trick to do the shadows better than I used to.

Pretty much the encouragements I need. Thanks D.!

Leffe Rituel which is 9% ABV. I don’t really like it, I feel like Leffe merely produced a beer to get buzzed with very few balance to it, it’s too boozy. Will drink anyway...

    Good morning BA
I start a round of nightshifts tonight, so I'm taking several minutes this morning to enjoy and review this delicious stout...
Bell's 35th Anniversary Expedition Stout Reserve. My 50th RIS review and 100th unique Michigan beer here on BA. Could not have picked a better beer for the occasion. I was unable to keep a 30th Anniversary stout in the fridge for 5 years to do a comparison (I'm weak, last one made it 3 years). I'll do my best to keep one of these around, but make no promises, as it's nearly perfect right now. Cheers all!

@Shanex if you constantly find flaws in your work and are almost never happy with it..then congratulations, you're an artist. I am forever tweaking and complaining about the projects I do. Never fully happy because in my imagination it could be better
I forget who said but the best art is the idea in our head

Are you getting Moonraker via distro or trade? I'm in CA right now, and I'm eager to drink up as much as I can.

I'm equal parts excited and apprehensive about this one. Two of my favorite brews, especially within their styles, but I have no idea how they'll blend ...

I like it. Not an oatmeal stout by a long shot, but good stuff. Cheers all!

I ran, walked the mutts and now it's time to kill off this 2019 bottle with a rosemary lemon chicken and potato omelet made from Saturday nights leftovers. That's the joy of cooking omelets!

Good afternoon/morning to all. Felt like a dark lager to start the day. This one is from Threes Brewing in Brooklyn. Some of y'all liked my Schilling glass so I gotta take more pics with lagers. Wish I had a better backdrop though.
