    Hello,
This might be a slightly dumb question, but when a trader will ship first, is it generally expected that the recipient will wait until the actual package arrives for verification of contents, or wait only so long as a valid tracking number is provided?

    Thank you.

Never been involved in the situation before, but I’d say full cycle: shipping and then receiving of the box. Then the other trader sends.

Agree with @MattOC . Wait until package arrives. Have seen bad trader threads where someone provided a tracking number so this in itself is not sufficient imo.

Agree with both above. Being provided a tracking number doesn't prove anything to you other than a "box" has been sent. Unless you have an uncut video of the box being packed and then delivered to the location it is being sent from they could literally send you anything. I know the previous statement is unrealistic to ask for, but it's there to prove the point that you likely have no idea what has actually been sent to you. If I am part of a trade with someone with very few trades I would absolutely wait until I had the box in hand and verified all of the contents before sending my box.
