    It's been awhile since I had last call on a Friday night down in MacMalt's Elbow Room but it's been a long, laborious week! I have a contractor coming tomorrow morning to give me an estimate to build a base for a new generator so I can't hang out too long down here. I'm a big fan of Double Two Hearted. It's almost like drinking a Barleywine. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

    Ralph Covert, one of my favorite singer/songwriters, closed out his home based Facebook “concert” tonight with this after I requested a John Lennon song. And he played one of the best Beatles’ covers I’ve EVER heard.

    Ingenious Brewing (Houston, TX) Smarty Rainbow Sherbet Berliner Weissse - very tasty but the flavor comes off a bit artificial. Have had others of their Smarty series that were better.

    Son had to stay home tonight, JV didn't get to travel, a couple tested positive last week, but mine is still going to school. That's a 200 mile round trip on a bus, long way go not to get off the bench, so just as well. Mother's Big Help Imp IPA. Let's go Heat!

    Likely the closer. Had a buddy do a drive to Indianapolis from St Louis in a day and this was one of his souvibeers. Fantastic. Lots of citrus and tangerine.

    Dude it was incredible. Thoughts over on the BIF thread.

    I don't like soloing special beers; I like to share them. I've got a partner who appreciates good beer, but that's not quite the same thing as sharing with an extreme beer nerd. My "local" has some people who similarly appreciate beer, but it's not the same as sharing with friends.

    So if I've got an opportunity like tonight? Yeah, I'm going to break out some good beer and see what happens.
