What Beer Are You Drinking Now? #2915

Good day BAs! A rainy night opens to a cool morning here in NW PA. Today's New Breakfast Beer is from @nc41 in BIF #12:



Not a bad flavor but it kind of looks like something draining from a dumpster. I'd drink it again, preferably in a dark bar.

 

Have a good Tuesday. Talked on the phone with my gf last night for an hour til 12AM. Seems like we find infinitely more stuff in common to talk about every time. I could talk about science forever. I am planning on driving up to MI to clear out my apartment later today, and turn in all of my keys. I have a lot of people to hang out with before I leave town, I won't be back up there for a while. Will be home before Saturday date night as usual, we have unlimited things we still need to do together.

Sixpoint resin. Looks like I haven't had this since I re-reviewed it in 2015! Awesome Chinook and Centennial profile as I remember. Nice malt backbone, but not too sweet. Dry resinous finish.

Lol, scrap that beer for future boxes.

 

Honest of appraisals of beers helps me immensely, some of these beers are one offs, some are not. Most I’ve never had because they are one offs and I buy by the brewery and recommendations. Newgrass is new to me so I eliminate them from future boxes, it helps me create boxes for future use. I always try and do this for my sender as well.

Bottled 6-13-20. At 4 months the bitter roast coffee and dark chocolate meld perfectly. Have a Wicked Wednesday, and Cheers y’all!

Platform Muni. Excellent session NEIPA. Great fluffy head retention/foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, white bread dough, light biscuit/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; creamy/bready malts, some sticky hops, and light resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering resin dryness, no hop astringency. Very smooth/soft, no warmth of 4.9%, minimal lingering hop burn after the finish. Feels like mostly Simcoe hops, maybe some Citra. Very juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hops; with a nice wheat/oat/malt backbone for the ABV. Mild residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. No complaints! 4

Early this AM, PI photos showed only a "?", and I had to double click to view on the PI site. Now, all is showing fine, even the early ones. I am on an iMac with Safari. Thought this might help. Gotta have the beer ****, especially from the Doc, who is meandering through one of my favorite areas.

48 degrees this morning, but should warm to the 80s. Back from a walk with the dogs; they are now running laps around the pool. Drinking Oktoberfest from Red Door.
