Remember, it’s North—ampton, not North Hampton and it’s pronounced Amerst, not Am-Herst. My days at the Daily Hampshire Gazette love strong in me.

Anyway, what’s cooking out in that zone? I’m with family so it could be family-friendly with food (outside and safe, please), me just running inside for bottles, or a dope store.

If you're driving any further north on 91, or if you're not but have an hour to spare, push past Northampton and stop at Brick and Feather in Turner's Falls (about 20 miles up the road). Fabulous beer and you can pre-order cans to pick up in a flash.

Transgression is really good and the taproom is beautiful. Fort Hill a bit south of Northampton makes quality stuff and Two Weeks Notice in Springfield is dope.

Kismet and Great Awakening are both cans only to-go in Westfield or that area and are supposed to be very good.

Also, back in Northampton, The Local Burger is a prime lunch spot that I highly recommend.

That’s pushing it. I love Brick & Feather. Trying maybe to find something new and interesting in like Spfld/Holyoke/Chicopee/Easthampton. There are better than average odds I can convince the family to do a Northampton/Amherst thing.

Not as much beer related but get a Big Fred and some breakfast/sandwiches to go at Cushman's Market if you find yourself around Amherst. Your kids might find something they like in the market too. Every time I go over to Amherst I get a Big Fred, it could be nostalgia coming into play, but it's a great sandwich...used to be my go to spot.

+1 for Local Burger, have to get a burger from there if you go to Northampton....My buddies always raved about the Juicy Lucy, I always preferred their signature burger. Can't go wrong there.

In Easthamton there is also Abandonded Building, solid lineup.
A great food stop is Captain Jacks Roadside Shack,
currently at the old Cernak Buick lot.
    Great food and BYOB

Honestly, nothing new that's interesting. I'd love to say there was. But there isn't, especially these days. If you haven't been to Provisions in Northampton recently, include that on your trip.

I love that area—Fort Hill is a superb hang.

If there is one brewery in Mass that I wish would date their cans it would have to be Fort Hill. Would love to visit the brewery someday though
