I absolutely try to make a trip of it too. But I also understand @mumbles44 not wanting to do a three hour round trip to buy one bottle of beer. I mean this is a beer site after all - the beer aspect itself (be it style, quality or quantity) has to be worth it, for the person to then build a fun day trip around it and experience whatever else the town/region has to offer. I too would not do a 3 hour round trip to buy one bottle of beer, whatever the gastronomic allure of Middletown may be.

"And I av 'erd zat le Taco Factory (and mon dieu, zis is a tres romantique name non?) eez elevating ze taco to 'ights zey previously said to be eempossible. 'Middletown, le jewel de la Oaxaca Nord' is what zey whisper"

Depending on his other responsibilities I'll say, at least for myself having a family, to get three hours to travel plus time to just hang out and grab coffee and food for hours more is asking a lot. To bring a kid in that scenario is even more difficult. Additionally, I know I'm still not really looking to eat at any restaurants yet kiddo or not, and I wouldn't blame anyone for feeling the same way.
Now if he were questioning going to Suarez/Gaskins MAYBE we could talk.

That’s where my head’s at (having kids, restaurants being less appealing, but Suarez/gaskins being a def exception haha)

You are spot on here as well as @stairway2heavn. This is a beer sight and I was directing my comment at beer.

I have actually made the trip to EQ a few times and have been to the taco spot 1x before hand. As good as it was, it would not make the trip more appealing, also keep in mind that EQ has been dropping cans in NJ and having locals to me (Twin Elephant) dropping comparable IPA that doesnt add much appeal to the trip. My family also is doing as little indoors and weekend time is incredibly valuable to us.

I get the appeal of making a day trip, We will actually be doing that to the Warwick area today to hit an orchard, winery, and hopefully Drowned Lands and Tin Barn(have been before).

So while my point was that I hoped they would make more bottles available as opposed to 1 for pick up, this isnt exclusive to BA Stouts, non-na, porters, some of the wild's they have been doing would be pretty welcome imo. I took too much time to write this out..but i am assuming i am not alone on this one

I keep checking untapped to see if someone’s rated Project Geisha, surprised that it’s still sitting at zero.

Why are the EQ cans in NJ so old when they hit the shelf? Some of the ones that dropped today at my local are a month old but still over 20 bucks.

Have had EQ for months; thinking about stopping by for cans this weekend. Are the quality control issues no longer of concern?

Somebody just posted a brown can of MC3 on Facebook, so definitely still a concern

I’ve never been to the brewery. Been buying a few cans from DeCiccios. Despite all the stuff on here about QC I’m yet to have an issue

Has anyone here had a bottle break mid-shipment on an EQ shipping order? I assume most people watching this thread are EQ locals, but I just thought I'd toss this question out to see if anyone can share insight. My Peanut Butter Swirl Bar bottles were supposed to arrive today, but, when I checked UPS's tracking info, I found they were turning the shipment around due to noticeable damage, which I'm guessing means one or more broken bottles.

I contacted EQ with this same question, and I half expected them to respond along the lines of "Don't worry, we take care of our customers, and we'll make sure you get what you paid for." Their actual response, while surprisingly prompt, did not provide anything approaching that kind of assurance. Anyone have any experience with EQ's customer service under similar circumstances?

@TangoJuliet had a similar situation if you want to read back in the thread. Looks like EQ issued a small refund.

Damn, that sucks, but thanks for the info. I'm really just hoping they send me the beer, but I guess we'll see.

That and Tangojuliets experience is pretty bad form by the brewery ,especially yours. You ordered something , it didn’t arrive, that is on them to refund you your money or resend the order. Shit, even in beer trading when that happens it is on the sender.

I would be pretty pissed if I was you and wouldn’t accept anything less. Dispute it with your credit card if they don’t replace or give full refund.

I spent almost $300 and they offered to refund the shipping ($25) and a 4 pack (~$18-20). Never got any refund. I tried to work with them and offered to buy more but they didn't seem to care.

It’s kind of impressive how EQ is letting their reputation tank and apparently don’t care at all.

I haven't had anything shipped from them but this page is making me not want to support this brewery whatsoever.
