I am heading to Oxbow tomorrow, so Saison Saturday is back on for me. I also have a Ghoulschip which totally counts in this situation.

Check out the growler selection at Allagash—it was awesome this summer. Some of my summer highlights were ‘Gash growlers.

Looks like you will be able to grab cans of Harvest at Oxbow to ad to your haul. That beer is a nice treat.

The best thing that’s happening with Oxbow is their lager game is improving big time. So I can load up on saisons and mixed ferm beers, but also bolster my lager game.

10-4 on the Allagash. I have one definite beer stop (Oxbow), but I am thinking that I need to grab some bagels at Rose Foods, so, Well, I mean since I’m in the area why not Allagash.

Bagels at Scratch are insane. I don’t know Rose Foods. Curious.

Speaking of Oxbow lagers, they dropped Maine State Lager today. Haven’t had that one.

As someone who tries to devour all things food in Portland, I’m intrigued by this.

Sipping a Jannemie now. A shoutout to @unlikelyspiderperson for mentioning this Russian River saison. I think your description is spot on. A touch too bretty for my taste, but a damn fine, well-crafted saison.

    Sup funk heads?!

We did Saison Saturday part one up at Oxbow in Portland: (1) Vestige, a “subtly smoked” farmhouse; (2) Old Pal, farmhouse ale with rye barrels; (3) Polyfloral, mixed ferm with a bunch of fruit.

Part two happens later with a dry-hopped mixed fermentation number called Pastoral and a Birds Fly South anniversary blended farmhouse!

Having a classic Allagash Saison with some leftover shrimp scampi. Happy Saison Saturday y'all!

I've been following along, but the last several weeks haven't had much in the way of saisons to post. Tonight, though, I cracked this one from 2015. Pretty damn tasty. Restrained funk and tart acidity, and just the tiniest bit of oxidation at the end. Perhaps straddles the line between AWA and saison, but a nice beer for sure. There was better head formation on the first glass, but the second portion of the bottle didn't generate much. And of course I didn't think to take a picture the first time around...
    Cheers to all!

Love it! What do we need to know about this brewery? Killing the farmhouse game?

So let’s hear it. What did you bring home from Oxbow? Looking for the complete inventory.

They do good work, some of their saison can run a little too sour for my tastes, although Casa Agria means "sour house" so it's on brand. Best shipping deal in CA though, free statewide shipping on any order over $45

Had an IPA kind of Saturday, but saison Sunday is lining up for tomorrow. Grabbed Le Merle from North Coast, gave another couple bottles of Russian River, La Vermontoise, DuPont, and one more liter of the local pear grissete. Probably won't do them all (my wife sure hopes that I won't) and I'm most excited to try Le Merle since I think I've somehow missed it and if it works for me its an affordable.shelf option (rare in my parts)

    4 x Sap Haus
    4 x Harvest
    Magenta
Pastoral (Had this last night and I loved it)
    BoBasa
    Goods from the Woods
    Disco Italo
    3 Barrels Deep
    Am/Fm

There are a few (3 Barrels, GftW, BoBasa) that might come out more in the winter time when it’s chilly and we want something heartier. I can’t assume I’ll be back up before the spring.

I visited the brewery in CA about a year ago, had a couple of their saisons and enjoyed them both. It was a little out of the way from where I was but I thought worth the trip.
I don't know much about their overall portfolio - I'll defer to @unlikelyspiderperson there...

I know almost no Spanish - but until I was there and thought to Google it, I assumed it was "Farm House" (like AGRI-culture) and would have fit with the saison-heavy reputation. Was a bit surprised to find out the actual translation.

Saison Sunday is on indeed. Le Merle from North Coast up first. Pretty mild, apple and pear skins on the nose with that flavor and a sweet grassiness on the palate. Just a touch of dry hay. A little sweet for my tastes but a pleasant beer none the less and incredibly light seeming for tipping the scale at 7.9%!

And my wife popped open a big bottle of DuPont before I was halfway through my glass so I guess that's next
