Space lab might be their best work so far this year. Its incredibly juicy. Other half has put out a ton of garbage this year but space lab is a gem

You can get a mixed 12-pack shipped to your door for free if you live on the very border of where Virginia meets Kentucky and Tennessee, but you can't get a mixed 12-pack if you walk up to the brewery in Brooklyn.

I’ve already had 2 of my Mosaic+Motueka cans because it is delicious. It’s a top 3 beer of theirs for me this year. The Keep it Simple, Stupid method of making beer is what is in my opinion. The dual Hop DIPAs have always shined the brightest to me and this beer is a perfect example of that.

 

The hate for locals is real

 

The new mixed case / half case for shipping is actually quite tempting this go round

 

I noticed that BK cans now have a black tab on them? FLX has had blue for a while, what do the DC brewed ones have?

 

There's quite a few bottle shops around town getting cans now that I think are being sold in singles, so that's kind of your mixed 4pk work around for locals right? Personally the thrill the forcing myself to drink a beer that turns out to be a dud is why I love OH.

One of life’s pleasures is spotting/identifying the multitude of nuanced ways OH expresses its contempt & loathing for locals. That said - speaking as a suburbanite who just ordered the mixed half case - it’s hardly a deep, heavily customised set of options. You have to order the half case and you get whatever 6 beers they decide to include that week. Personally I’d rather have the ability to buy whichever of the 1,062 different beers they have available at the brewery I wanted, by the four pack

 

Nope scratch that. Actually when I said I'd ordered a mixed half case, I was actually in the process of checking out. When I went to hit submit they said it was sold out so was forced to buy the full case. So yes Other Half fucking hates locals - even former ones. Fuckers.

 

You might have gotten the 12 pack if you didn't stop in the middle of the ordering process to post on BeerAdvocate "Hey guys, I'm about to buy beer.".
