This is a good beer that is easily available in the DC area, but I swear it’s so inconsistent. Sometimes it has a lot of diacetyl, like PU, sometimes it’s crisp. Tonight, it tastes very English to me, pretty sweet but crisp. Good thing I love English beer!

Drekker Strawberry/Raspberry/PassionFruit Braaaaaaaains Double Fruit Smoothie Sour, 5.3% ABV. Pours murky pale red with a one-finger pinkish head that left fruit puree residue instead of head. This was a very aggressive pour, trying to get head. Nose is strawberry, raspberry, and vanilla. Taste is strawberry, raspberry, and salt, slightly sweet, moderately tart, with salt aftertaste. Excellent thick mouthfeel, overall excellent to outstanding.

The leaves are falling, temperatures are dropping, the World Series is underway, and Halloween and Election Day are right around the corner. All signs that fresh hop season is sadly almost over for another year. But first, one more new-to-me fresh hop beer: Skyfinder from Single Hill Brewing over in Yakima, where all these wonderful fresh hops come from. Cheers!

This bottle is around two and a half years old and has settled out to a pretty good rum barrel aged porter. Enjoying it. Thanks Chris and cheers all!

 

I'm glad it was enjoyable. I thought it was just right with some age on it.

 

Scored a surprise stash of Fruit-Full Fort from 2018. I got three 4-packs. Definitely has the same raspberry Fort base flavor, but the extra berries round it out with a different kind of wine mustiness.
Two of those 4-packs are destined for another 3+ years on a shelf. The regular Fort did great with 5 years, so I imagine time will do super things.

Very drinkable, despite the 18%.

 

Central Artery helles lager to close my night. Elegant, light, floral, biscuity, hint of orange citrus marmalade and grassy hops. Crushable, tasty, and easy drinking. Pretty nice. Cheers all!
