    Sorry, I meant New Mexico. Not sure why I had Arizona on the brain; maybe because Albuquerque starts with an A and also has four syllables? :grinning:

    I read your review, and I'm almost always in sync with you, but I also had Juicy Bits for the first time recently and was more disappointed than I thought I'd be. It might have been because I'd been drinking a lot of big DIPAs before and after, but I found it kind of thin and one-dimensional. It also was about a month old, FWIW.

    Starting my day with an Atlantic Ave galaxy hopped DIPA from Trillium. Juicy, smooth, tropical fruity, a little dank and resinous, with pineapple and papaya sorbet notes. Cheers all!

    I think the two cans I've had since, I've been less impressed. Then, I had them on less clean/clear palates. If my rating came from this can, though, on this day, I probably would have been more in the 3.9-4.1 range. It is a bit grainy and one-dimensional. I still agree with my overall assessment of a "WC IPA on a NE IPA body," but I'm less overall impressed.

    Then again, one I've given a beer a clean review, I'm less concerned if each sitting is under ideal circumstances. As long as it tastes good, and matches the moment, I'm OK with it. :slight_smile:

    One more can to reflect. In the meantime, about to crack my first 2020 Narwhal ... my partner, who hates IPAs, had one last night, and as expected, much prefers it with 1-2 years of age (more chocolatey, less bitter, less hoppy), but she still liked it. That's more or less my experience with it as well, so I suspect this may be the only 2020 bottle I enjoy until they've had a while to sit. :slight_smile:
