Speaking of Hop Showers, anybody recall which hop the batch canned on 7/27 was dry hopped with? It doesn't say on the can, and I couldn't find a mention of it in any of the posts @NewmansOwn put up around that date. Doesn't specify on their IG post from then either. Or was it just dry hopped with one or both of the regular hops they use in it (Amarillo and Citra)? Thanks.

 

@SudsDoctor I don’t see anything on Instagram either and I don’t think I had that batch, sorry.

Looks like a couple Heaven Hill barrels are being processed today, hopefully (non ‘tosed) bottles soon!

 

It was mentioned in their IG post on 7/27 as one of the beers available in 12- or 24-packs for shipping. The cans I received had what I assume are standard issue labels (white with rainbow Hop Showers cascade), so I'm guessing the batch wasn't dry-hopped with a third hop. Whatever, it was excellent. How many Hop Showers points do I earn?

 

For just casually chugging a bunch of Hop Showers with no heed paid to the exact hops used? 0.25 maybe?

 

@SudsDoctor looks like there was perhaps a Kohatu released around then (untappd created on 8/1). Most of the Untappd checkins have pics of ROC Showers cans, but a few are Hop Showers and at least one of those seems to actually think they know what they are drinking. There was also a ROC Showers released around then which was citra cryo & motueka, so I think a lot of confused untappd users...

 

Any bets on how long until OH Domino opens for business? I took a peek on Sunday and it's looking fairly done, but you never know with city permitting and gas company b.s. As I recall, the OG OH took like a year plus to clear those hurdles. Plus they might have to hire people. Could be next week, could be next year. Anyway, I'm hopeful they can take my money sometime before mid-December. Brother-in-law wants me to bring some cans to Chitown for Xmas. I'd rather not have to shlep down to Centre Street.

 

I noticed there was an offical OH Domino venue on untappd the other night when I typed in OH for something, so maybe sooner than we think?

 

I would think Roberta’s opening next door this week would mean OH won’t be too far behind.

 

I've been enjoying the HS variations over the last few months but the melon had crept it, which I mostly enjoyed. For anyone not in the Mellencamp you'll be pleased to know the new Mosaic variety is more citrus forward with a nice dank finish.

Mo+Mo is oh so good. When is OH opening their NZ location?

 

They shifted to the current tap room for can sales months before opening up for draft sales... Since all they sell is cans, you should get your cans sooner than later.

 

Doesn't Chicago get fairly regular OH drops? Or that's stopped now / he doesn't live there?

 

Picked up Citra Galaxy last night. It’s got that burnt Galaxy flavor that I remember from the last batch that was gone in approx 3 weeks and tasted great then. Back of the fridge they go.

 

Opened a Space Dream last night and enjoyed it a lot, real good
