To be honest I never heard about any problems with Apple Pay before today's sale at all. Mostly I heard about the screen freezing up leaving people unable to get out of the questions section of check (unable to hit "purchase") out but that wasn't an Apple Pay issue, it was a browser issue

 

Same issue happened with rbbt as well. Just too many users at the exact same time

 

In person went on sale before the proxy option.

 

I’m happy I scored both big releases yesterday, but the real winner in all this is craft beer industry... for being able to convince me and people like me to believe that the opportunity of spending $500 on a handful of beers makes us lucky, and the real winners in all this.

I’m definitely not complaining. More laughing at myself at how it all looks from an outsider’s perspective. Could’ve started saving for a boat instead.

 

I think the bigger lesson here is the proportion of beer geeks who use Apple products.

I thought we were better than that.

Ha! I ended up making a short video about my excitement at being able to click the "Purchase" button only to be told the item in my cart was no longer available....

 

Same for me. I think I got mine like 2 minutes after it went up after having it carted within just a few seconds. I tried Apple Pay way more than 15 times. It was probably around 30 times before I got the confirmation, seriously.

 

I still refresh my junk email every now and again, ever so forlornly looking for the confirmation of my Ann lottery win.

 

The 3 F rule is definitely a thing. The two happiest days in an airplane or boat owner's life are the day they buy a boat/plane and the day they sell it.

 

Okay but what's the 3rd (float, fly....)??!

Haha that's all I could think of but not sure "investing in" is the terminology I think of when that service is...needed.

 

The 3 F rule is, "If it flies, floats, or fornicates, it's cheaper to rent it."

 

It’s fun reading through all the posts about the payment unable to process because I had the same issue however when it said that I just refreshed the screen and it ended up going through without me needing to re-enter the information. I was a little perplexed though because I know I entered the information correctly so I thought, here we go again another loser attempt.
