Trade Value Thread (2020)

After the KBBS/BBT/Prop Day massacre that's been the last week or so, I'm looking to fill the void with some trading. Hoping to land a DO ADWTD 2020 to open with friends. I made a trade post for VSOJ & BCBBW '14 with a +. Got a few likes, otherwise crickets. How far off am I? You can follow the link for + options. Nothing too crazy there. Thanks for any feedback.

 

Only on the sake of rarity, KBBS just like every other KBBS lottery I fail at year after year. At least with BBT you could be on it with the notifications and have a good chance. Nice to see they didnt raise the $100 price tag on that bad boy.

Anyone know the trade value on Coeur de Cuvee?

 

CBC Maman has dropped quite a bit, so you could get a nice plus with it. Probably something like (regular) Maman or Assassin.

 

Your 3:1 offer (VSOJ + BCBBW '14 + BCBCS '14) seems fair to me. I don't think any of the other potential third bottles are as appealing as the BCBCS, though, which could limit the interest you get. In general, I haven't seen ADWTD trade down very often (i.e., for quantity). Seems like people are looking for 1:1 trades, or using it to trade up. That said, I bet you could land one with 2x VSOJ. (But I would cringe at that trade...I thought VSOJ was so much better than ADWTD '20).

 

Does a Willett 4-year Rye hold any weight? Nothing crazy, but could it get a Black Gold or two? Other stouts in the realm or is is too much of a shelf bottle? Thanks.

 

It get's weird distribution & some states don't seem to get any, or very little. Idk what states those are however, but that is where it holds a little trade value, but not terribly more than msrp.

 

I can tell you that (from my experience) WI gets very little, if any Willett 4-Year rye. Love the stuff. As for how many BG's you could get for one I'm not really sure. Black Gold's value seems to be much lower in WI (simply due to supply) than it does outside of WI. I think at least 1 BG + 1 CW Anniversary bottle since in know the retail for the 4-Year rye is typically $60 or something around there.

Appreciate the input! Yeah, the 2:1 on VSOJ is a non-starter for me, but figured that would close. Thought about trying VSOJ + Blessed. Also thought about just moving on with my damn life and drinking the beer I have.

Ha! True story - shortly after posting that I saw a comment in the trade forum and they mentioned ADWTD and I DM'd them. Going rate in VRUs on that behavior?

Also true - I'm drinking a 35th Expedition. It's really damn good.

 

Willet 10yr is a very desirable bottle. Should be able to close multiple Tete.

 

Any idea what bottle/bottles have traded for a bottle of 3F Perzik?

 

How close (or far off) is CDC3 from Assassin 20?

 

Given the vagueness of your question I think you'd probably be better off just searching in the trading forum to see what those that have it FT have been trying to land with it or what those that are ISO have been posting to try to trade for it.

 

I thought the 2020 ADWTD DO can was around 0.5 VRU or 1 Rare 15. I traded a Mamouche for one, which is around 0.5 VRU. It started really high, around 1 VRU, but has dropped since then. FWIW I'd much rather have the BCBBW or VSOJ. Your offer is solid. I would say VSOJ + Blessed is heavy and you could ask for a plus.

 

Someone currently trying to trade a CDC b3 for a Anchorage Blessed with a plus getting crickets. Also saw someone try and trade a CDC b3 for a Weller 12 with no interest. My guess is that you'd need to find someone with an Assassin who is also looking for a CDC b3 which I don't know if that would be common. I think you'd definitely need a plus, but as to what size plus I'm not terribly sure.
