OK the first snow of the year and it's really making me crave some big rich winter warmers. I haven't had a ton of the style and not sure how specific it is but would love some local / attainable in MA winter warmer recommendations. Similar styles like old ale, and barleywines are welcome too. Cheers to a long winter. - I'm a fan of Old Stock ale (not sure if this falls into the category or not) - Harpoon came out with this beer called Arctic Ale - and this was the perfect beer for the style for me. I believe they do a different type of dark beer every year so haven't seen this one in a while. What else ya got???
There's still a bit of 2019 Sebago BA Barleywine floating around. I absolutely love that beer once winter hits.
Where the fuck is Fezziwig in the Sam mixed pack?????! lager 76(fuck off) Winter Holiday ale American IPA Holiday Porter(fuck yeah!)
Anchor's Xmas ale should fit the bill. (edited to say it's obviously not from NE, but is available here)
I liked him in Inception. Gotta head to the tap room to buy a four pack this year. I might do that this year, did it last year.
And if I recall, they were charging like $15+ a 4-pack or some nonsense. I bought it once, would've bought more, but F that.
Not quite in the winter warmer catagory, but I look forward to Cabin Fever by Berkshire Brewing this time of year. Solid malt base and the way they use Tettnang in all aspects adds a great spicy hop bite. Stay warm
