No graham crackers on that graphic -- many people get a subtle graham cracker flavor from Okto Marzens (yes, the Amber type).

This right here is how I've always understood the term, and use it.

Agreed! Especially when social media is an often added confounding variable too.

    Waits for Avocado Saltine IPL...

Dry saltines no salt. Very low residual sugars on the palate at the finish, and it I thought to be bone dry. Jack said they tweaked the formula, so currently I’d have no opinion, not something I have access too.

Are you sure that you have to "wait"? Maybe some brewery has already done this beer?

    Cheers!

Jeff, at this point in time I suspect that almost every food ingredient has been used to brew beers (commercially and homebrewed).

A number of times I have composed a BA reply making fun that some weird ingredient will be used in the future to brew a beer and before I hit the "Post Reply" button I conducted a web search to discover that some brewery has already made a beer using that weird ingredient.

I probably should not use the word "weird" since in contemporary times there are folks who are always looking for something different (e.g., the next 'shiny new thing'). In contrast, of late I have been mostly seeking beers that taste like beer. I have purchased many 15-packs of Victory Classic Lager this year (a new beer for 2020). I sure hope that Victory chooses to continue producing this beer in 2021 (and beyond) instead of discontinuing it to make room for a weird ingredient beer.

    Cheers!

P.S. I have been disappointed in the changing portfolio of regular beers at Sierra Nevada Brewing. I really, really hope they never decide to discontinue Celebration Ale since that brand is 'old' and 'non-shiny'.

I used the word "biscuit" in tonight's Wibby Moondoor review. I did qualify it with some adjectives.

Definitely. Especially the sweeter US examples, the less-hoppy German examples (like Ayinger), or just a normal 'ol Paulaner that's more than 6 months old.
I get that same or similar flavor note from a fair number of English ale styles like ESB/Strong Bitter/etc. I really like it, so I consider that flavor to be a good thing as long as it isn't cloying.

Much of that is up to the consumer. If enough people buy it, I'm sure you can count on SN to make it. I know you're in that group. Fortunately for you, the continued support of Celebration from consumers and nerds on a beer website has been something special in this day and age.

Go to your local homebrew supply shop and stick your whiffer in the bin of Biscuit Malt.
That will give you what you are looking for.
