Good day advocates! “Good”, what’s so good about it, I don’t really want to play party pooper or the cynic here, but it’s true. This year has been tough for all of us. We are on lockdown Part Deux here, no Halloween celebration (it’s not big here anyway but Covid this year pretty much killed it) and Sir Sean Connery passed away... gah. We watched the Name of the Rose Saturday evening in remembrance. Such a talented actor...

So I am drinking La Goudale Grand Cru, have a good one all and stay out of troubles!

Not drinking today. I am sober, in a suit, clean shaven, brushed teeth, and praying to God I get this job I'm interviewing for. I have years of general industry experience so I know I have at least a chance my only problem is I have been out of that sector for a couple years. I have been doing infosec these past few years and this is a netsec job.. maybe I get in if I get a netsec cert. There are also some secondary issues that could become an issue but long story short I hope today goes well. If anyone wants to be nosy its a position at Geico (are you really being nosy if I openly tell you?)

Wish me luck, Cheers! Sorry for the blog post with no beer I'm just excited.

I'm always amazed you have snow being that south, when nothing of the kind is spotted here. Does the climate change hit unevenly?

    Day off morning coffee break.

    16 oz. can.
    Canned 10/07/20.

First time distro in Vermont for Surly and rec'd last Friday.

Moderate pour yields a nearly one inch tan head over a brown body with some lacing. Nose of coffee, coffee, and coffee with a bit of roasted malt underneath. Taste mirrors nose nicely with a finish of slight hop bitterness and a tad sweetness. Good feel and overall, a coffee lover's delight!
Cheers to Surly finally finding its way to VT!

Here's a song from a classic album released 50 years ago yesterday!

    Cheers!!!

Already got my headlights replaced on my car, and spent a couple hours at the store packing things up, and cleaning up.

Now back home on a lunch break, and a Yuengling break. I'll head back to the store to finish the cleaning after the post office delivers my package.

    Hi all Advocates,
I finished drinking this after hours at 6:15 pm, as soon as I finished work.
Here at 6 pm restaurants, pubs and every administration room must be closed at 6 pm.

Brewery Lupulus (Bel) - JOLLY POUPEE - Modern Belgian Red Ale (6,671%)

    Named: "Modern Red Beer".
    Creamy and abundant foam.
Caramel, molasses and honey on the nose.
    Dark red, very amber color.
Medium-bodied body, in full line with that of a Belgian Red Ale.
In the mouth it passes with balance from well-defined notes of caramel, candied sugar reflections, dried fruit, candied fruit and honey to a good dry finish, given by a "modern" use of hops.
Not bitterish finish, but which in any case detaches from the sweet that characterizes this beer, making it pleasant and not cloying.
Excellent in terms of quality / price.

Having a Monday morning stout on this cool and windy day. Bottled in Feb 2017, BB 2019, has a bit of a black cherry taste and smooth chocolate, roasted coffee and bourbon oak caramel vanilla notes. Quite good beer. Cheers everyone!

Discovered yesterday I have a random jazz album in my iTunes and I'm not sure why or where it came from. Glad to find it though as lately I've been getting more into that style. It all started for me a couple years ago when I went to a Boston jazz cafe with a couple friends. It was my first experience with live jazz music, and it was just a group of random diverse college kids playing, couple women on sax and drums, few guys on keyboard, large bass, and maybe a flute or trumpet I forget what the last guy who only played a few with the group had. I drank a Glenlivet 12 pour and a Duvel if I remember correctly. I feel like after that night my whole view and experience of music changed for the better and I fell in love. Now I'm at the point where I should probably be digging more into the genre other than the man Donald Byrd. I love most of what I hear, even without trumpets and sax like some of these tunes off the Bobby Hutcherson album Happenings. Pretty good stuff!

That's what I'm talking about... I need to listen to more of this legend and others. Hope you enjoyed the Nelson bombardment from Trillium too. Cheers!

And as far as metal/prog goes, that is a really sick song! Cheers! :heavymetal:
