My chase card was like "this brewery is sus... no more charges"

 

Holy shit. I have over $2700 in charges over 2 cards. Apparently they were processing payments each time they said they weren't. How will all this get rectified??

 

This thread is hilarious....guys, there's obviously a problem with Tock's system, no you won't be charged all that money. Just wait and chill.

 

Try to email HA first. If you get nowhere then call your CC company.

Aren’t people still waiting on refunds for smells like a beer fest?

 

Apples and Oranges. One was a legitimate charge for a fest that then got canceled. The other is a series of phantom charges widespread across almost all users that is indicative of a system issue.

 

It will eventually work itself out, those charges will be refunded. Your available credit will suffer until that time though, and without any confirmation email will any single order be processed?

That being said, if you can afford ~$200 in beer, you can hopefully afford the time it takes for those charges to work themselves out. Best of luck if you can't. This was poorly handled on at least a couple of fronts (required add-ons and credit card handling).

 

Wow I haven't even checked. I knew it was taking awhile but I have no idea if I was refunded.

 

I emailed tock support. They refunded all the charges, even the debit card.

 

Average FICO score of Initiates just dropped 15 points.

1000% these things. The one consistent thing about both of these issues is that they were a screw up on Tock's part. Anyone who thinks that HA knowingly attempted to make people purchase a glass and truffles is being a fool.

They were obviously trying to figure out the root issue of the problem in real time with their tech partners. They're refunding anyone for the extra charges. I don't see any PR issue here in the long run.

 

HA just said on Instagram that Tock is working to reverse all the charges. They probably wont read your email.

 

Hopefully they don't charge HA the full 3%. Tock sucks, cut out the unnecessary middle man.
