I had the unfortunate pleasure of doing research credits for a big 4 earlier in my career. Will calculate and document your credit in exchange for beer. I live across the street.

 

I was fortunate enough to get a slot for Balmoral, but what annoyed me the most in this process was the fact I thought the link was going to be on their Curbside, so I spent the first ten minutes refreshing that link like a jagoff before coming here and seeing it was on the Linktree one.

 

so either Tock went rogue and added on the required purchases without HA's consent or knowledge, or this was a calculated gamble by HA.

i want to believe that this was solely an egregious lack of communication and oversight on HA's part, because the alternative is clearly worse.

their barrel program is at a level that can withstand fuck ups like this, but let us all hope they learn from this colossal cluster of a release.

 

I'm not 100% positive, but if Tock works like other similar apps, the client (HA) would input everything into the system. So I assume that was a mistake on their part. Mistakes happen. The extra charges, however, I assume is on Tock's end. Again, I can't say for sure as I'm not as familiar with the system, but this would be my guess.

 

Or someone ticked the wrong box. I'm guessing none of us knows the setup process for Tock, and how simple/complex the options are. Likely this was someone from HalfAcre setting the page up on Tock's site, maybe doing it for the first time. A mistake was made, probably not maliciously.

 

Also truffles and glassware are available (again).

 

I finally got through at Lincoln. No clue if the other charges where I failed to purchase will even show up, but it seems like the system is finally fixed and there looks like a ton of open slots at least right now for anyone who gave up earlier.

 

Sitting back watching all this from afar, is there any chance 3 Floyd's would be willing to loan out the "Greatest Teachable Moments" name?

 

I would love if Tock can leave the damn charge on the card of my choosing... instead of the one that actually processed.
