So did anyone have the releases this past weekend? Up to par with NYC and FLX?

Guess I should have read the NYC thread first, but my question is still valid.

I'm new to Other Half beers, so take my opinion as a newby. I had a pint of the HDHD Fully Loaded Baked Potato Saturday night, and thought it was excellent. I was also given a sample of the 2 Years 2 Months Later while waiting in line for my beer, and it was pretty tasty as well. I'll probably hit them up again this coming weekend.

Welcome, DC folks! Let us northerners know which of the DC recent release we should go for up here. Hopefully the #OHhateslocals trend stops at the Mason Dixon line.

also, happy to see that @rozzom moved out of the northeast. that dude was a menace.

    New beers in DC today:
Double Dream Cut Imperial Oat Cream IPA (8%) Strata is the star of our Cut series. We use our hand selected Strata hops and in this case blend them with our hand selected Citra hops. And like all dream/daydream beers this is dosed heavily with oats and a hint of milk sugar. $18 per 4 pack. ⠀
    ⠀
HDHC All Green Everything Imperial IPA (10.5%) the classic gets the High Density Hop Charge treatment. More hops than you can handle. Flush with Citra, Mosaic, Motueka and Amarillo. $24 per 4 pack.

Order now for Curbside Pickup starting today, Friday, at noon. Orders placed now can be picked up at any point this weekend, Friday 12-8, Saturday 10-8, or Sunday 11-6. Link to order in bio. ⠀
    ⠀
Daydream So Hard Florida Weisse (6.0%) with Lemon, Lime, and milk sugar with our South Florida family @jwakefieldbrewing Team Wakefield let us take a crack at Troll So Hard but with a decidedly Other Half twist. Yeah, we dosed it with oats and milk sugar giving it more of that soft mouthfeel and lemon-lime custard taste. $20 per 4 pack. ⠀
    ⠀
Seafood Platter IPA (6.0%) Brewed in collaboration with @thesaltline in homage to our favorite seafood event of the year--Oyster Wars. Each year we bring together the best chefs, brewers and oyster farmers to help raise money to protect clean water and sustainable seafood. We brewed this IPA to help support the cause this year with Motueka, Galaxy, and Idaho 7. $18 per 4 pack. ⠀

Was going to give them some time to dial things in, but was over that way and picked up some Seafood Platter. A slight bit of hop burn to it, but it's delicious.

maybe it's a complete fluke, but 2 out of the 3 (undated) DC cans I've had, the ring pull has broken when opening - one managed to partially open before it snapped. the other just came straight off

was thinking the same thing about them needing time to work out the kinks when I had “2 years...” - it was fairly thin and not much flavor for an ipa at 7%. But then had “Zero Anniversary “ and it was phenomenal

I’m wondering what Ayn Rand would say about this. Maybe it’s a sign that civilization is ending? I’ll get back to you on that tomorrow...

Anyone know how long they'll hold orders? I'd love to snag that Crunchee, but I don't see myself making it to Ivy City before next Friday. Their website doesn't appear to answer this, and they're not responding to similar questions others have posed on IG.

Very nice outdoor space. Had servers come up and take our orders for beer, they’re just serving them out of cans and bottles for now. I’ll probably wait until their tap lines are up and running before going back, but overall a very pleasant experience

I do like that they're color coordinating their can tabs to location though.

I’ve only had “2 years...” and “Zero Anniversary”. 2 years didn’t impress me, wasn’t super hoppy and was fairly thin. Zero was very good, very easy drinking for the abv and flavorful
