Looks like FFF Distilling put up 2 year Divine Right Whiskey.

 

$100 - but so was their BA Divine Rite (Divine Rite white whiskey is $40).

It's been in the barrels for 2 years, that is so long!!!

I'm assuming they are buying juice from MGP

Yeah but if you want 10 year whiskey, you might supplement in the meantime. High West didn't sell their own juice for something like 7 years. almost all of it came from MGP.

 

even now, some of the large distilleries use MGP juice because they can't keep up with demand. granted they are blending it with their own juice.

 

Given their main bottle stock is an unaged white whiskey, then last year they had 1 year DVR and this year it's 2 year DVR, I would suspect they are just using what they make on site? Have we seen any evidence of them putting out a 10 yr or anything past 2?

 

I haven’t seen anything bottled beyond this 2-year. They had something available for onsite in the distillery that may have been 18 month? It was solid.

 

I doubt it, why not sell a 4-5 year then? This is the first 2 year they have sold, and previously sold a 17 month.

They started production in 2017.

i don't know if it applies to all spirits, but for bourbon, you have to list the "youngest" whiskey on the label if you want to make an age statement. at 2 years, i can't think it tastes that great. Beam is aged 4 years as reference. They could blend in older MGP whiskey to improve the flavor and could still call it "their own" if they are blending in younger divine rite stuff.
