My wife loves Fat Tire, as do I, but we would rather keep our funds local. Any suggestions for a MN brewed amber/brown readily available in most liquor stores? Loved Bender, but...

Furious is nothing like Fat Tire. While it was originally marketed as an amber, it is (and was) aggressively bitterly hopped. Nothing like Fat Tire at all.

Mankato Organ Grinder or Grain Belt Nordeast. While I have not reviewed these, so I have no notes to go by, I have had them. I expect you will find them fairly comparable to Fat Tire.

You can ask the bartender to take all of the mixed over pours in the drain thingy at the end of the night and pour them into a glass and I bet that’ll be close to Fat Tire. Seriously - close your eyes and imagine drinking that - add an ice cube - and Fat Tire!!! You’re welcome. And it’ll be free.

Bent Paddle, 14 degree. Marketed as an ESB but drinks like an amber.
