I'm guessing between the smaller format and the fact that there is so much quality beer available, it's harder to hype this up/have scarcity. I got two bottles at nearly 2pm after forgetting about it. Still rather spend $23 on these bottles than $18 from other half for their stouts. Hopefully this isn't a DIABEETUS bomb. Moreover, I should say, I think the non BA brunches are usually better, though the barreled brunches have more trade value for people than anything other than the maple ANTEAD which was quite good (if you like subtle non pastry level maple).

Tldr, too much good beer to get anyone that excited unless it's BBT or something I guess (not that I'll ever try it).

I’m not sure if others are where I am but I just can’t bring myself to pay so much for single bottles of beer anymore. This isn’t a price complaint point, just a personal spending thing, but could explain less purchases too if others feel the same.

There are too many way affordable beers that achieve my stout fix. I was very close to buying these too cause the stout sounded so tasty. I even had them in cart but when I looked at the total I couldn’t do it. The eventbrite fee doesn’t help either.

I do see myself breaking that rule for ANTEAD probably but I guess we’ll see. I hope they go back to straight forward adjuncts again but with the path kane has gone lately I highly doubt it.

I'd be so happy if ANTEAD this year was something simple like base, rye and coconut (b/c Kane does coconut stouts so well). Maybe throw in a double barrel for good measure. It's almost like a competition these days to see who can throw the most adjuncts into a stout and still have it be discernable/enjoyable.

I had a Saturday Night Lights (2020) last night. That was a diabetes bomb. It was so sweet all of the flavors just melded together. Still finished it; it was not undrinkable sweetness.

Anyone know if they still have pumpkin MB bottles left for pick up? Their website seems to be down right now for me.

It was listed as out of stock when I looked earlier in the week.

I feel your pain, but just in a different direction. Nearest Rook is at least 45 minutes south of me. I do get their beans delivered, and occasionally their cold brew when I won't be in the area to pick them up. Morning Bell put me onto them (and just craft beer in general).

So few breweries make as good a barrel aged brew as Kane does. Sure, there's a lot of breweries out there with way more hype behind them, but almost none of them stack up.

I also don't see this as very pricey, especially compared to those other breweries. Additionally, recognizing not everyone has been fortunate enough to remain employed through this pandemic, I've found I've actually been spending less on beer thanks to less on-site consumption and fewer beercations (sorry to anyone who's heard me say that elsewhere).

I’m hoping so because an untimely phone failure(a 7 month old one at that) prevented me from even trying to get a couple of bottles.

I remember at one point there may have been bottles available to-go that weren't necessarily listed on the site?... am I making things up, or is that still the case?

Employee mentioned selling extra bottles POSSIBLY the next weekend after the final pickup weekend, which would make logical sense. Not sure that's actually the case, but it would allow them to sell unclaimed and extra that never sold in one batch.

I agree here, also, I assume its partially due to people being further away and they can roll up and hang out like they used to do in the past. The one time I tried to do the beer garden there were no reservations at all the morning of. I know they added a delivery option but I think you still have to then place a order the day of your delivery for the minimum, so that likely deterred people who don't want another 4 4-packs. That being said I grabbed Sabro and Wind Swell on Friday and Sabro is really nice and this batch if Wind Swell is great.

I assume we will see these up for sale after pick ups. The eventbrite event was only until a specific time and I don't know if either actually sold out. Seeing how long both SNL and Almond Dream were available if you just wanted to walk up, I just feel like these will be available, and they have been in the past usually too.

I don’t know if this is an all over thing, but I noticed all the non-year long Kane IPAs at Wegmans went up $2.00 a four pack (even the ones that were already there) this week to $20. To me this is pretty steep, especially for the single IPAs. Wonder what the reason was for the big jump?

    wegman's trying to capitalize?

was at total wines this past weekend and fresh party wave was normal price of $18 iirc - definitely wasn't $20 or i would have put it back on the shelf.

Kane also started charging sales tax on top of their beer instead of including it in the price.

Hey Glenn from Kane Brewing here. I just wanted to address this. This was the result of a system mixup having to do with UPC codes and has been corrected. If you continue to see this or similar issues please email hello @ kanebrewing.com and let us know so we can address it. Thanks!

I drank my last SBX last night, which is almost 3 months old, and it’s still tasting glorious. I see they released a triple version of SB today, lucky bastards.

This new batch of Yellow Buttercup was very good and this batch if Wind Swell is great. I also enjoyed Sabro a lot, but I know that hop is one that seems to be more love/hate. Hollow Sea is great, especially if you are looking for something besides IPA.
I said to myself I wasn't going to get beer this weekend and now thats out of the window
