Plan on skipping out on work on Friday and heading up to southern ME for the day. Typically hit up Federal Jacks on the way up, Bissell and Salvage BBQ in Portland, then head home.

Looks like all are open, Covid wise, just wondering if I'm missing anything.

CT is now on the Maine Travel Advisory List. Not sure how that affects your plans.
You didnt list it, but Barreled Souls in Saco is closed taproom, but can get beer to go, I think.
Im going up Friday as well. Did a covid test today to comply with Maine policies.

Thanks sulidaddy. I thought a test was only necessary for overnight visits. Enjoy your trip!

You may be correct about that. I am staying overnite, but you may be okay for a day trip, not sure about those details.
    You enjoy the trip too!!

A negative test or 14 day quarantine is required for all visitors except VT, MA, and NH.

I'd read the fine print, because states vary on this. A few weeks ago I saw ANY trip to MA needed a quarantine or negative test, but a trip to CT only requires this for an overnight stay (I think since then we have been removed from the travel advisory list). That made my decision easy to order from Fox Farm! While 99% of day trippers probably won't be called out on the quarantine or testing, I've been trying to be a good citizen and play this by the book especially with the rising case counts everywhere.

Wife and I ended up going for the test today. Just want to be compliant.

I’m from NJ and was told 4 days before our trip that we had to get the covid test. (I’m up here now and DAMN is the weather amazing!). I had to fake symptoms so I could get a rapid test at urgent care. Couldn’t get one anywhere else (at least for under $200). So annoying. But it was worth it. Got to eat outside at Highroller for lunch today in Portland and got my Bissell to go order.

Come to New Hampshire. We don’t have rules. Frankly, we don’t especially care whether we live or die, just so long as you spend your money here.

Locally we can get tested any weekday for free. When I told friends/family that live in NJ/PA this, they were amazed. So, I am thankful for that. Good on you to do the right thing, stinks you had to go through that to do it.

Considering living in Portsmouth is border life, I’ve broken it many times getting coffee in kittery and going to my cottage in York.

However, being a non supporter of Orange Face. I have 98% chance of not being a fucking idiot and walking off the bridge.

I have my Covid Safety game on lock.

What I do know is the breweries here in the area do care and work hard to keep you safe. Also debating should we be open or close things down again if people can’t behave. Just be logical. It’s at least appreciated by all of us here. Even if it is inconvenient and not as fun. I miss a lot of great places in other states too.

    Hey Guys,

Flying in to Portland tomorrow and with two negative Covid tests, but driving up to Bar Harbor for a wedding on Friday.

    Thursday:
Was going to do Barreled Souls, but looks like they are pick up only and I missed the release for this week (d'oh).
    Nova Res
    Thirsty Pig (maybe)
    Bissell Pick Up

Any other recommendations? Bottle shops to check out?

    Friday:
Swing by Maine Beer Company and head up to Bar Harbor (anything else really on the way worth stopping at?

    Sunday:

Have some extra time Sunday so may hit up a couple stops in Portland.

    Thanks for the help!

Barreled Souls may have cans to go as well as bottles beyond any release event.
I would definitely reach out to them. Good people and great communication.
