Since my 10th Anniversary as a BA member is coming closer my priorities have changed a bit. Initially I wanted to drink some special bottle (think big non-adjunct imperial stout) to mark the occasion. Without so much random stuff going in my life right now I decided to not have a drink until then and that the very earliest,

Life is static rather than dynamic and I noticed that my priorities are changing. Life has quite become complex recently due to family, heath, and other issues so I didn't drink a few days and felt a bit better so decided to not drink again until the BA Anniversary.

I'll be browsing just not drinking. This getting old stuff sucks but I can hardly complain with @scream @vaberguy and @cavedave know that a bit better to me.

Anyway, I just wanted to announce that I'm on the water and off the beer to see how it helps me life. For a month longer and maybe 2021 who, know?

Shots out to many my BA friends, I'm not gonna call you all out one by one but you know you are

Also if you notice typos i'm not drunk just typing a jet black room with no backlit keyboard on my laptop I can't see a thing,

    Cheers till next time :beers:

    Congrats. It’s a bit of a milestone

So how many beers have you had in a decade and how much have you spent on them?

Just joking. Never ever do the maths about that.

    Here’s to ten more years!

PS: I’ve been here for nearly 5 years.

Hopefully you will be able to see replies.

I actually never stopped coming on to BA for all of my forced 14 months of nearly complete dry out. I feel like I am drinking with my eyes, if that makes sense. Gotta agree getting old sucks, but it sure beats the only alternative. I am sure the benefits of a four week dry out will be obvious when you catch a nice buzz from one beer, and maybe need to cinch the belt tighter.

    Congrats on the milestone! Cheers!

    Thanks for sharing!

Beer was never meant to be a problem, but the ethanol just can have that kind of impact. For me it was whisky, the fight wasn't worth it, so stopped. And got a new life with NA beers. Not for everyone, but for some.

    Good luck!

Looks like a brewery in the US only brews NA beers. https://athleticbrewing.com/

    Interesting.

you’ll never regret taking a few breaks here and there. Helps you get more in tune with your body rather than just falling into the old routine of cracking open a cold one. You can do it! And you’ll feel better and better each day!

    But I don't understand $13 a six-pack. :grimacing:

Yeah. The most expensive NA I've bought was Kaliber, around $10 a six-pack. At $13, I wonder how long they can stay in business unless their beers fly off the shelves. Putting their beers online for free shipping, if you buy in bulk, tells me something though I'm not sure what it is.

I remember discovering really good beer and it's alive and beautiful.

Penn's Best from Rochester is a nice beer beer. It never costa more than most all of the others, less than $5.

Congrats on 10 years. I'll not reach that milestone until '22 -- and I do intend to do so! Like so many here, we adjust as the time goes by.

Congrats on your upcoming anniversary. All of us conduct most of our life on a reactionary basis and change things in response to outside factors. If you react and change for things the good because the piper was telling you something, good for you. If you don't react, you pay the piper. Make good decisions.

I had to do the math for my second divorce. DEFINITELY don't do the math. Don't even let her know there is math.
