You can save a CC if you have an eventbrite account I believe without buying anything. I haven't done that, but I am pretty sure you can. Toast is the one I think you have to buy something once.

How have their IPAs been recently? Might tack on a four pack or two if I manage to score a bottle, but the cans oxidized last few times I've gotten them.

I've been more disappointed with their IPA's than not this year, especially how expensive they are in NJ. The last few I had was Superfractal Cosmos which I think was just a muddy sweet mess (i love galaxy hops) and I regretted paying $7 for a can. If it was cheaper it would have been a drain pour. Before that I had Superfractal Dank set, which was better but still not that good.

Overall their taste profile this year seems to be this muddy, sweet mess. I don't get it.

I did enjoy dhop21 and Fractal Lab Galaxy/Simcoe though. I had buncha other ones like MC2 which sucked vs last year and fluctuation which sucked vs last year. I think I also liked that southern hemisphere (yellow can) but thats about it.

I used to be excited by them, but now I probably wouldn't even take a free can. I don't understand what happened to this brewery. That clean, quality taste was replaced by this "lets make everything taste sweet" shit trend on top of being sold for astronomical price.

Ever sweeter IPAs seems to be the way of 2020 for Other half and EQ anyway. That said the $28 four packs in NJ for EQ make zero sense to me. Anywhere getting them must have other options in the $16-20 range that are better beers/IPAs, but then again looking at places like Kane, Carton, and Tonewood, they don't make their IPAs nearly as sweet generally so I guess the sweeter IPAs have a decent market even if it's not my thing. The oxidation issue though is unacceptable.

Well I wasn't mentioning OH on purpose, but since You said it then yes, I generally stopped getting them since last year when they started this shit.

Last OH i had was a mix of the Green City stuff that i split with my friend + his buddy. Few of the beers were good, but most wasn't worth it.

Maybe some of the cans I had were oxidized as well (deep orange color plus that specific taste creeping in). Basically I pretty much avoid Eq now.

Didnt use the app but I clicked the ticket button right at 9am. I assume because I did not use the app is the reason I unsuccessful obtaining a bottle.

Chrome fucked me again. Scored a ticket and went to checkout. I again used Chrome to auto fill in my credit card information and it froze just like with LADS B2. I noticed that there was an 8 minute timer to checkout while hoping it would unfreeze. 8 minutes later a ticket became available and was instantly claimed and it changed from unavailable to sold out.

At least now I know I have time to put in my info and just type it in manually.

Popping into this thread purely to see what drama takes place / took place this morning.

Sidenote: is EQ's barrel program even that good? I've had some decent iterations of their non-barreled stouts, but hardly anything that would make me think EQ's BA stouts would garner so much hype. Are there other market forces at effect here?

I don't think I've had a BA stout for EQ before, but to be honest I'm not expecting much from a NYS-based barrel

In my opinion, I feel its mostly hype. I feel these bottles are packaged and resold. What is the base for the secondary market price on these breweries? Heres an example which includes last weeks LADS.

I saw several posts in a FB group of LADS B2 going between 50-75 per bottle. That was 6pp.

Do you know if people are paying that for one bottle? Also, whats the base for the secondary price?

I guess I would drink one of those if someone paid me $50-75. Would prefer an even ton.

That $1,448 offer is an absolute bargain though. Damn!
