BA Outside of BA

Theres maybe 10 dudes active these days. I miss those dudes.

I have met a few people but I am pretty awkward and antisocial so theres that. I prefer to nerd out here.

 

So far online online banter here. Maybe tomorrow...maybe someday...

 

I can relate to that.

 

I provided a refrigerator and stocked it with Veil IPAs, internet access to BA, and the premium sportsTV channels. I think he found nirvana I did not think he would ever leave.

 

I've met a few here and there, plus a few that I met elsewhere that turned out to be BA members. I haven't yet had a meetup with others, but I wouldn't be opposed to the idea.

 

I've met up wth @GrumpyGas a few times at breweries and with @mschrei at the end of a Cubs game.. don't remember much of that one. . I also attended a bottle share Eric(don't remember BA name) did the first or second year i joined.. don't think any of those people are still on here but many didn't talk to me since I was new.

Would love to do a bottle share once this covid stuff is done.

I was supposed to meet up with @tolar111 on a business trip to Albany, NY and that was my fault because of some travel changes. (I really regret not getting to meet up. )

I keep in touch with and do casual trades with @tacosandbeer but we've never met. Gama, you're at the top of my list of BA'rs to meet, brother!

Bottom line, everyone I've met, enjoyed beers with, and traded with have all been just totally cool and great people. There's a bunch of others I still want to meet (will save that list for another time) and I know I'm probably forgetting some, I apologize.

 

I showed @GreenBayBA that a SoCal bro can hold his own with a Norwegian Viking from Wisconsin!

 

Everyone I’ve met through this website has been good people. @TongoRad @zid @SudsDoctor @ScottKramer @jrnyc @Xerlic off the top of my head. There are a few more who post here who I either knew previous to or knew from outside the site.

There are many, many more either via WBAYDN or through private message who I feel as though I’ve met. Maybe one day I’ll meet a few more of you “for real.”

Keep me in mind if you find yourself in the Seattle area, especially east side. We also have a little beer down here.

 

I've only met 1 other BA @hopsputin. We were both at Twin Elephant Brewing and posting on this web site at the same time. The place wasn't crowded so I was easy to spot while using an I Pad. Nice guy.

 

I did a few trades with @ThirstyBird a decade ago and we got together for beers pretty frequently back then and became pretty good friends. And I'm now friends with his friends even though he lives overseas. And when I'm in Europe (remember international travel?), we'll generally find a spot to grab some beers (usually Cantillon). Hell, I drove him to the airport last time he was here (with a stop at Harpoon).

I have many "beer friends" that are now just my very good friends. As hard as it may be for people on here to believe I have friends.

@LarryV which up until Covid had been great. We didnt just meet but aa many of you know we jammed together - Me on Drums and Larry on Guitar with Kevin on Bass. I believe we met up at least 3 times. Had some brews too. Was a great time. And Larrys a fantastic guitar player.

I've enjoyed meeting @DrStiffington, @cavedave, and @hopsputin and I look forward to seeing them, and meeting other BAs, when this COVID mess is over! I'm sure that @dennisthreeninefiveone and I have been at Twin Elephant Brewing numerous times without realizing it.
