I'm wondering if it will truly be the luck of the draw or if it it will work out better for Hailstorm fanboys. It will be interesting to see the posts of what people are getting.

It looks like they made up some identical 6 packs according to FB chatter -- that is, multiple people got the same 6 in a pack. Certainly makes sense that they'd do that to reduce complexity when assembling the packs.

 

Purchased 2 6-packs... unfortunately my second 6 pack only had 4 beers in it (should've looked before I drove away). They are as follows:

Not sure if anyone else had this experience, but both of my packs were the exact same. I got the same combo as @Spurts_of_Funkiness.

I didn't really have expectations on what beers I'd get, but I was expecting to have two different six packs. Bummer.

 

Saw regular Kittywampus at Binny's today, actually. Wonder if BA will hit distro?

Sucks that you only got 4 in that second 6pack, though. I'd go back and tell em? Or at least call?

Yeah, initially I wasn't happy, especially as I drove a distance to do pickup. I'll reach out and see if anything will come of it.

 

That is a bummer indeed. They mention on their site that six packs "will be constructed and sold at random". Seems like they did a crappy job of 'randomizing' both the contents of the six packs as well as the bags themselves.

 

I suspect those missing two beers were some sweet, sweet whales someone packing just couldn’t let go.

 

Yeah, I remember reading that, too. That's why I'm not super pissed. We'll see if I hear anything back.

I have to say, looking at the draws so far, other than the Bottle Logic pull, nothing really jumps out at me as interesting or not able to obtain locally.

 

that does suck. I went to pick up for me and a friend and I told the lady I was picking up for a friend and she’s like “are you drinking these together” and I told her that’s the plan and she made sure we got 12 different beers. Very nice of her but also went when I was the only one there lol

 

You should have went on to say "And we plan on drinking whales" wink wink

 

I've seen people get BCBS Birthday as well as Dark Lord Rarri 2020 in their packages.

Also have heard many reports of identical 6 packs, sounds to me like they made an effort to mix them up fairly well. They all seem to include 2-3 stouts, a barleywine/scotch/old ale type beer, and then some sours/saisons etc..I haven't seen anyone get 6 stouts or 6 ciders or anything like that.
