    Hop Butcher Satan’s Mile Red IPA (Amarillo, Chinook, Mosaic). Made my way back to the Chicagoland area this weekend, so had to pick me up some Chicago goodies. Was very interested in this one, but didn’t think it would hang around out there long enough for me to come across it. Luckily for me, it’s not hazy, so most people will just overlook it.
    I was thinking this would be more in line with an American Amber, but this definitely is a Red IPA. Basically a west coast IPA with a different malt profile. Lightly toasted bread and light table sugar provide a dry backbone to the hops. Ruby red grapefruit flesh and pith, navel orange, lemon, floral, slightly underripe pineapple, strawberry, sugar-dusted pine. A fantastic beer that’s a nice change of pace from they usually do.
