I assume the kinks will be worked out however they need to be worked out, but this is why I haven’t done it. I bought four four-packs and two 750’s from Threes in NY today and the shipping was $14.

Wow! Schilling four packs as well. Same shipping cost to CT. Why can’t Notch ship to CT?

A week too late too. They had some Off Color last week. Their guest slots are typically strong. I’m gonna see how it goes with this order and keep them in mind for the holidays

Well...Vollbier, if adhering to the “German tax collector list;” however, this term is quite elusive, as it makes up 99% of the market share

The chart below is a brief summary on style to category

If you can’t justify Notch's mail order pricing then you don't have to worry about Biden's tax plan

Hey all, thanks for the feedback. The shipping costs are simply what UPS is charging us, and we are passing on the cost. However, we are optimizing our shipments to drive down costs and will have better pricing shortly, especially for 12 packs. Updates soon.

I quoted this post from Chris back in early October: “We should be complete by year end but are targeting a March 1 opening in 2021.”

Chris has also been posting construction updates or at least pics/vids on his Instagram stories when he's been down in Brighton.

I'd also add that Brato, which if you didn't know is down the street from the Notch Brighton location, just released their first in house beers (they've had to do collabs because of various delays in getting the electrical and brewing equipment set up). They also have great food. Definitely worth checking out.

New: Notch Mail Order flat rate shipping - $14 for a 4 pack, 8 pack or 12 pack. Rolling this out for a two week trial starting today.

Also, we plan on opening Brighton in the spring of 2021. Biergarten first, with Tap Room dependent on the vaccine roll-out. The Biergarten's capacity is 288, and that can expand to approx 500 for events. Covid social distancing will most likely have the Biergarten at 144 capacity in April when we open.

The new option to have notch shipped is life-altering for me. Living in Milton and having young kids, if I’m going to Salem I might as well be going to Portland.

But today I ordered a bunch of stuff and will have it on my doorstep tomorrow, A Schwartz, alt, and Tenner all reliably awesome from notch?!

What a time to be alive!

Is the turnaround from online purchase to UPS delivery really only one day?

Back when they announced that they were shipping, I ordered on a Friday night and it arrived at my house on Tuesday. I don’t know when it shipped. I want to order again but I have to make sure that I’ll be home to get it or UPS won’t deliver it. For me, timing is critical.

Is signature necessary? I’ve had mixed experiences with this especially during Covid. My UPS guy comes usually post-dinner, but I have missed the knocking while doing dishes or otherwise getting fat on some delicious grub.

I’m thinking of doing this this weekend, regardless. I could use some (more) lagahs and I’m really excited about the black lager.

It is signature necessary. Last time, I had to go to UPS online to have the packages rerouted to a UPS store. Otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to get the beer.

Says they ship on Monday and Thursday. So a Friday order would’ve shipped on Monday, and got to you on Tuesday. Seems solid.
