Well, as a non card-carrying member of fightclub, at least I got a chance to read the descriptions. #stillarevfanboyFUPAGod

I bought it before I saw your post. Sorry, wasn't trying to implicate you in my disappointment. Yeah, I like those 2 beers, but I drink them all the time. Still have multiples of both in my fridge.

Damn it, I totally forgot that was Destructor he mentioned last week. I didn't want to waste time (and wasn't going to buy both), so just quickly added the AB. Hope I don't end up regretting this impulse buy.

No regrets!! Yeah, these 32oz crowlers cost $50 each ($1.56/oz), but these are special double-barrel beers compared to BCBS variants which will run close to $1.54/oz.

For just $5 more last year at $55, we got GI Dbl Barrel ($3.25/oz) and they are probably the most comparable things to compare from the two breweries. (GI Dbl Barrel was aged for a year in 11-year-old Elijah Craig barrels then a year in 12-year-old Elijah Craig barrels).

Happy to take the plain crowler and drink soon vs GI fancy packaging if it keeps the cost down too!

I'm a few hours' drive away, so I've never had the opportunity to nab one of the special barrels when they hit crowlers a few days after a release event. Thanks for offering them in advance this time! Very much looking forward to trying both of these.

If anyone in city looking for another person to split / do a share with crowlers, let me know. Have a lot of other things (other Rev, Benthic and variants, etc.) could add to mix. Appreciate @Jagrmaister offering though not sure will work with our respective locations.

Making one offs like this surely has to be more expensive than mass producing something like DT.

If you wind up having to change your pickup time, Rev is super chill about it. Source: me, I've done it a couple of times now. I shoot them an email ahead of time.

Heed their suggestion to drink within 3 days. I kept a refrigerated DB VSOR crowler for about 2 weeks. It was flat by the time I opened it. Not sure why their crowlers hold up so poorly compared to other locals doing crowlers like Corridor and Goose Island

Apple Brandy is not utilized enough in Barrel Aged Beers IMO...Apple Brandy Noir is still one of my all time favorites, but havent seen it in ages!....would love to try this one

What time does the pre-sale usually go live? I stumbled into it last release and want to make sure I’m ready tomorrow morning
