I’m lucky enough to be a member and have grabbed a bottle, so didn’t need to wait. But to defend a company for closing a lottery early? That seems insane to me. It’s a BS move.

I think everyone is calm. I'm just kinda shocked that people are defending a brewery for closing a lottery early.

Everyone ripped HA a new one for the shitshow that was their Benthic release(even though it was the platform and not them), but it's not ok to call out P3 for something shitty?

 

Same here, I have struck out completely on lotteries this year. I almost wonder whether my email still works. At least my wife won a Binny's Anniversary BCBS, so I guess I know what I'm getting for Christmas.

 

I mean, 6x charges vs an early lottery draw that pulled a couple hours early that I was already in and a handful of people that missed because they're lazy or didn't care enough are 2 completely different things... but had I gone for Benthic (I didn't because I have enough shit I'm buying) I would've allowed that to sort itself out too before bringing the torches and pitchforks to Balmoral.

I'm not even mad about it as I was already entered. It's just weird that they would close a lottery like 6 or 7 hours earlier than they were supposed to, and everyone just kinda gives them a pass as if it's perfectly acceptable. It's not. It's kinda fucked up. There are any number of reasons why people may not have been able to enter until today.

 

Nobody should defend a business that does this. Them blaming it on an app is not acceptable. If you’re using a vendor for a key part of your business...then that is part of your business and it’s on you to answer to it. I would’ve had much more respect had they cancelled all the early winners and then did it again at the right time.

 

Phase Three has been upfront that it was a mistake.

This wasn't a mistake that, however briefly, charged your credit / debit card hundreds of dollars, as was the case with Half Acre.

I don't give a "pass" to Half Acre OR Phase Three...I would just acknowledge that this is a strange year that we're all trying to navigate, whether a citizen, a small business, a conglomerate or an entire country.

Could it also not have been the platform(Oznr) that went awry with Phase 3’s lottery? They specifically said that using a new platform comes with a learning curve. Oh well
