First visit to Une Annee Hubbard’s Cave (pre Covid) since their opening day, all precautions well done.

The first offering is Une Annee Le Grande Monde 2020-8, 8 oz $6 plus $2 tax/tip. Served in plastic cup due to COVID.

This is a Barrel Aged American Wild Ale with Strawberries & Lemon - 7% ABV

Appearance: Neon bright pink purple, very bright white ring around top of the glass. Clear with prevalent carbonation throughout. 4.5

    Aroma:
Very bold aroma, Strawberry and Lemon. Tartness balanced the sweetness. Very enticing. 4.25

    Taste:
Very Sweet offering, lightly tart but cannot reign in the sweetness. Strong strawberry leads, lemon backs. Reminds me a lot of Strawberry Crush. That’s a wrap on taste. 3.5

    Mouthfeel:
Very much like pop, fizzy carbonation, very sweet, hoped for more complexity and tartness to balance. Sweet aftertaste. Very thin body beyond the persistent carbonation. 3.25

    Overall:
One note sweet strawberry drink with lemon back. Wished it was more complex like many of their other offerings. 3.5

Drinking an old snow globe of Delirium Tremens. Doesn't look very nice right now but still tastes pretty good like banana, some apple, hints of spice and sweet toasty caramelized malts. Cheers everyone!

My dad called earlier. Needs to come give me some more cat supplies and stuff. Probably will get dinner as take out somewhere. I got nothing else to do tonight. My girl gets off work in 45 minutes, so my phone will take up some of my time.

    Great session NEIPA.

I think I’m stopping at two here. Another Une Annee selection, The Devil’s Reign.

16 oz served in plastic cup due to COVID, $7 + $2.35 tax and tip.

Brewer notes: Belgian Golden IIPA with Citra, Simcoe, & Galaxy - 9.2% ABV

Appearance: Bright Golden yellow somewhat murky, bright white head lingers briefly, a thin layer resides covering the top. Light carbonation. 4.0

    Aroma:
Light pear and pineapple leads, Belgian yeast as well. Lightly sweet. 3.5

    Taste:
Nice, mild but more complex than the aroma. Pear, banana, and pineapple, some tropical fruit in the back, mango. Lime and orange as well emerge the further I delve in. Light pepper backing, this is a Belgian IPA hi-bred. Like the complexity and how this comes together. 3.75

    Mouthfeel:
Thin to medium body, slightly creamy, faint carbonation. Lightly dry, bursts of sweetness felt, but are contained, this is a balanced offering with a light sweet bias. Easy clean finish. 4.0

    Overall:
This is a unique offering, a dry hipped IPA hi-bread, works well, nice balanced and complex taste. This is another good beer by Une Annee. 3.75

Starting the day off with Jelly King from Bellwoods Brewery in Toronto. It's a 5.6% Citra dry hopped sour. Great beer. The next time I'm in Toronto (who knows when that will be) I will make a point of visiting the Brewpub on Ossington. In the meantime, I may need to do an online order for delivery.

Really looking forward to the game tonight. A battle for first with two very dynamic QB's. Should be a good one. Will definitely be lubricating my enthusiasm for this game. Cheers.

Joining @Roguer in a Founders CBS today. Might be my last bottle for now. This 2019 bottle is still exuding powerful roasted coffee aromas with dark chocolate and toasty bread, a hint of dark cherry and a pleasant but not too sweet maple syrup bourbon barrel note. Tastes really great. Cheers everyone!

How do you talk to people on the phone, seriously? I just want to hang up. Ask my gf. I am the worst. If you can't text it to me, I'm not trying to hear it. Haha! Peace...
