These guys seemed to have been lost in the shuffle on BA forum boards. Just picked up a 4 pack of their new IPA Chaos Dimension. Highly recommend. I haven’t had a Saint Errant beer in a few months and I am ready to grab another 4 pack. One of the better IPAs I have had in the Chicagoland area in recent memory. Hope they keep producing IPAs at this level.
Yeah their IPA’s went a way from the haze (in appearance anyways) for a bit. I have two friends who loved the Chaos so I bought a 4 pack. Did you try the Gorilla Cookies stout? Reviews/Check-ins seem all over the place
I passed on the Gorilla Cookies for now, I have too many stouts at the moment. I really love the cans they put the stouts in though it’s the perfect amount. Pretty hard to open a 750ml unless your splitting with friends
Yeah I don’t disagree with you. The flip side of that is that I want single serve as opposed to 2-4 packages if I haven’t had the beer before. Even in a 2 pack, the 2nd beer can last in my fridge forever.
I love Saint Errant's haze; literally my local go-to. But I...am not big on their stouts. Gorilla Cookies was a whiff to me and a friend who shared a can last night. But it seems to be generally well-received on Untappd.
Stouts have been hit or miss with me but I think Cauallier, Tepoztecatl, and Elements (3 years ago) have all been really good
Right. I can't think of any of their IPAs that I haven't loved. Surprised they're so slept on. Maybe it's their somewhat sporadic release schedule?
Anyone know of any plans for a BA release this winter? BA Tepoztecatl was so good. Would love to see BA Cauallier with toasted marshmallows next.
I asked a few weeks ago before this last drop and they said to watch out for a stout coming soon(gorilla cookies) but they didn't have space for a BA beer this year.
I've never gotten to try Tepoztecatl yet, but Cauallier was great, and Elements was pretty good. I also really liked Contrapasso and Anomia (although that one fell off after just a couple of weeks).
Chaos Dimension is the best ipa I’ve had from them since White Bouquet. Really digging this. Getting a Vermont/Maine vibe here.
