Pipeworks and Penrose have just made beers the last month that I’d purchase again. Penrose Timber and Pipeworks Mosaic Cryo.

I didn’t mean to turn this into a war on Floyd’s. I didn’t think Permanent Funeral was a flawed beer, just an expensive one. I said I was “slightly disappointed”

also, penrose draft is really good too. But Timber is more of a Three Floyd’s ipa. Draft is closer to something half acre would make. Somewhere between Gone Away and Bodem, closer to Bodem due to the mosaic but not as soft.

Permanent Funeral was an amazing beer I loved in my younger days before I understood what 10% abv meant.

I think it's silly to suggest they "update their recipes for today's palate."

If what you mean by "today's palate" that every beer should be a sweet lactose bomb, and not really anything more than that... then why bother with 3F? Why not stick with HB or P3 where fresh beer in that "style"(if you can call it that) is pumped out every single week? Me, personally, I enjoy the actual hops I can taste in the IPAs offered by 3F.

I said cheaper. A six-pack of zombie dust fresh is $12 curbside. I've never seen half acre stuff for cheaper than $10 for 4 pack of daisy cutter and pipeworks is usually more expensive as well. I will look out for those though. If they really are as good or better that really is saying something

Check dates on Dryft. It’s year round. Timber is a new seasonal released 3 weeks ago. Mosaic ninja is expensive and worth every penny

Mosaic ninja. Is it better than the lizard king?

Floyd's seems to have alot more behemoth than normal the last year or so? If anyone from there actually reads this please give us 4 packs the way you did dreadnaught. I don't get off till 9 today. I don't want a headache tommorow but behemoth sounds good tonight

Not even close to the same kind of beer. Way way bigger. More malt, more resinous Mosaic. If you’ve had any amazing batches of Great Lakes Chill Wave, expect something reminiscent of that

Fans of FFF double IPAs should try Crystal Lakes “Big Daddy” somewhere between FW Double Jack and Permanent Funeral, maybe a tad darker. Relatively good deal. 10.99 for a 4pk of 12oz cans

I remember having that beer in 2015.... At the time I thought it was the most sour, acidic beer I've ever had. Fast forward 5 years and quite a few sours later, it's time for a revisit.

I finally got my 4-pack of Permanent Funeral. Probably not quite as good as it was fresh, but it's still great and one of my all-time favorite IPAs. I wish this one was available year round.

So, I assume you didn't have Skull' Ole? That might have been the most sour beer ever made!

1 bottle of Upland Kiwi Lambic > 12 cases of Skull Ole for removing paint. Could have saved yourself some money.

I tried that one on Dark Lord Day 2016, it smelled amazing, but wow was that sour! And mine was diluted with rainwater, so I can only imagine how sour it was straight.
